Anyone seen this documentry? It's on Sky anytime at the moment & I recommend giving it a watch. It talks about the events leading up to the death of Andres Escobar after he scored an own goal in the world cup in America. How Columbian football at the time was run by the drug cartels in particular Pablo Escobar's Cali cartel. He had a ref killed for sending off a player from his team Internationale. Absolutely ****ed up.
Sounds interesting. I knew about Andres' killing, I thought it was just an angry, upset and unhinged fan though, had no idea about the cartels and stuff.
Well worth a watch, at the time a large number of the Columbian club sides were owned by the cartels so they could launder money through the clubs. Or so I found out watching this.
Strange , I've only got 2 pages. It's not the first time that this happens... Will try and find it online some time.
