Toni and Guy Twardzik sign new 3 year deals. I wonder if Filip T gets more money than Paddy T? http://www.celticfc.net/newsstory?item=3125 Filip and Patrik Twardzik sign new three-year deals By: Laura Brannan on 25 Sep, 2012 16:31 CELTIC are delighted that Hoops youngsters, Filip and Patrik Twardzik, have put pen to paper on new three-year contracts with the club. The twins moved to Celtic in 2009 and signed an extension to their deals the following season, but this latest agreement will now see them stay at the club until at least 2015. Nineteen-year old Filip has worked his way into the first-team in recent months and his brother, Patrik, isnât far behind, currently making good progress for the Hoops in the NextGen Series. The two brothers were delighted with the latest developments and after signing on the dotted line, they spoke exclusively to the official Celtic website. "We've had so many years here so we didn´t want to leave," Patrik said. "We said want to stay because we've enjoyed it here. Our agent had conversations with the club and when the contract was finished we were pleased to sign it." Filip added: "Three years is good for every player because it is not too long and not too short. I think this is what every player wants to have. "We have learnt a lot since we have been here. The physical side changed a lot, but we are still the same players we have always been, our bodies have just progressed." Both teenagers enjoyed three seasons with the Under-19s, winning every domestic competition they entered. They have three U19 league titles and just as many Scottish Youth Cup medals to their name, but now they want to push on and better those achievements. "I want to stay in the first-team and hopefully win some more medals this year," Filip said. "Every trophy means everything, and we want to win as many as we can in our careers." "And I want to get into the first-team as quick as I can," Patrik added. "I have always dreamt about being the best player in every age group so I want to get there. Filip is closer to it than me but I will get there." Both players are out of action just now, although Patrik is on the brink of returning from an ankle injury while Filip is waiting for scan results on his groin injury.
Good news indeed, I want to see more and more of these young fellows come through and leave less reliance on buying in so called stars.
