I have been down to Clayton Wood today ... players av got 2 days off ! Ive been down to get shirts signed etc for the young lads ! no problem that will be done but i decided to ask a few sticky questions from the person that is active on match days with players ! This person keeps his head down and works full time on the coachin staff !!! i cant say anymore. SO on the subject of Jermaine Pennant ... well documented that while the players stopped in a Haydock hotel for the game , JP simply wasnt there and was sent home the next day when he arrived .. FULL STOP ! He was bollocked and fined ! Thats why he is bulling up Shotton atm to take the heat away ! But TP has taken it upon himself to carry the feud on ! Reporting to Peter Coates that he is a bad egg ! When i asked about selection ? Do the guys behind him scratch there heads ??? The answer was ..... every game ! TP is simply his own man and really does not give 2 fuks what anybody else thinks ! He really is that strong of mind ! A proper sgt Major to all apart from ric Fuller who does not giv one ! lol Thats the truth fellas what came outa my conversation today whilst i was at the training ground !
It doesn't suprise me at all. I spoke with someone (recently) who was active in matchday activities and he told me more or less the same and they had to agree to disagree with TP! However, as much as it pains me to say, as long as the results come there is not a lot that can be said.
P P and Smither's I posted a comment last week.. re the guy close to me with his son wanted Jermaine's autograph and he did get it pre match. ?? Remember I said then that he asked J.P. about not starting the Swansea game.. so, P.P. what you heard is true enough. I've said this before, IF we get the results I do not care who likes whom, or otherwise. But something is badly wrong when Tuncay, sorry to bang on about him in particular but Kitson, Lawrence I KNOW crossed T.P. and there have been others before them. None apart from Pennant are still here apart from Ric Fuller strange innit guys. NOT TOO fussed if we continue the decent form, i.e. last two games and results are all that matter as a fan for me personally.
Thing is though TP is mugging the fans with his sheer bloody minded ways and it's us that suffer as we pay good money to watch good football and players. It's a trait he has that makes me dislike him. You have to ask yourself the question was the Gillingham chairman right when he said he was one of the most nastiest people he had ever encountered!
I agree 100% with that and in the past I have felt the neeed to express my dislike for the man - which sometime has been a little OTT. Whilst my opinion will never change it is very difficult to argue against him when you sit on the back of 2 excellent and well needed home performances. It doesnt take way from the fact that we had been absolute dross for the previous 10 - 15 games, but it does make us safe - which is all that creaaly counts! Like I have said before TP is a doubled edged sword scenario, we would need to get relegated for his position to be called into question but then I would be hard pressed to think of a better manager (notice I didnt say man!) to get us promoted!
