How many points would 5puds need to be clear of fifth place in February 2013 to secure a Champions League spot in May? I think they would need a 15-18 point cushion.

Can't deny we were lucky. But you have to be in it, to win it. We only outplayed two teams comprehensively under RDM, 5puds and 6angers

LOL. No denying we had a lot of luck on becoming European champions... but if you reach the knockout stages of a comp nine seasons in a row and six semis, eventually you will luck out. I don't think anyone will deny that we deserved to win it at some stage over the last decade
I think to guarantee finishing in the top 4 they need to be top of the table , Fergie dies, Mancini resigns , Wenger decides to coach the ladies team ,Chelseas next manager gets stuck in the revolving door . When did we lose 4-0 to Inter? 5-0 to Real on aggregate (thanks to Crouch getting sent off and Gomes missing a straight one), beat Inter on aggregate, but did lose 4-3 in the San Siro. We beat Milan as well, not bad without a shot.
