Grundy should have been included. Don't know if his winning time in the 1975 Derby has been bettered yet. His subsequent win over Bustino is one of the best ever seen.
I had a few problems culling the field down to just the four. There were a heap of great horses who couldn't make the list. I wanted one from the deep past, and the deeper I dug, the more I came up with Hyperion, he was adored at the time. Then I had a problem splitting the O'Brien lot, so settled for Nijinsky beacuse Piggott said he was the most talented of his lot. Sea Bird picks himself, and a lot of folk are wrapped in Shergar. But as I said earlier, there were heaps who could have made it mate. Thanks for the input though.
