I remember as a kid watching the likes of Frank Brogan and Ray Crawford and feeling that tingle on match days Then through sir Bobs time when we were everyone's favourite second team with players like Beattie Viljoen etc. The tingle was still there, then It disappeared, years of not really believing (even in Burley years) it just wasn't there The lowest being the Keane experiment. There were times I wished I hated ITFC but you can't, it's in the blood Then came MM slowly but surely we improve and improve (although I am ashamed to say I was one of those people calling for MM to go after the result against the scum) and now the tingle has returned. The hairs on the back of my head stands up each Saturday with excitement and anticipation I surprised the wife yesterday (and believe you me at 61 I don't get to surprise her as much as I used to) by jumping around the room when we went 2 up But the tingle is back, I feel the years washing away and whatever happens, what a fantastic ride we are having this season Merry Xmas to you all and I hope you all get to feel the tingle
Sounds like we are the same age, I also fondly remember those great teams we had in the 60's, back in the days when people played and supported for the love of the game rather than the mercenaries and get rich quick charlies you see today
My first tingle was fixed with some cream but this feeling I have on match day now is much better. All joking aside, nice OP yorkie Isn't it great that nearly everyone is buying into what's going on at the club now? It really does feel a bit special, and Mick makes it like an 'us versus them' mentality. We made second place ours yesterday using 14 players who cost nowt. The lofty position we are in is ours to lose, some come get us!!!
It is nice to see we have some members on the board posting more often than in the past, long may it continue.
I agree, this board is a pleasant place to be right now. Even TWTD news article comments have been good reading over the last couple of weeks.
