I know some people will say that it's better to have happened now with Lambert than during the season etc..... But we are loosing 2 very important people in consectutive days and it is starting to feel a bit like a blind panic now. Who else is going to hand in a transfer request Fox? Tierney? anyone else Lambert brought in? Are the coaching staff going to change? Is it just me or does it feel like Holty was waiting for something to happen before confirming it?? I have great respect and admiration for Lambert and Holt, but something stinks here and I am starting to get a little concerned. There needs to be an emergency meeting called between the board, playing and coaching staff to ascertain who is still in and who wants out now that Lambert and Holty want out. This needs to happen ASAP as things need to be stabillised and we as a club need a clear stratagy in place to move forward. To do this we need to know who's staying and who's going or want's to go.
It's clear that this revolves around funding and the lack of available cash for spending on players and wages. In no uncertain terms the Board has drawn a line which some people (Lambert, Holt, maybe others) won't like but it will ensure the long term survival of our beloved club and the Board have to be admired for that. The company I work for recently announced that for the thrird year running we were to get no pay rise - we all swore, spat our dummies out, grumbled, moaned and grizzled and some people started looking for other jobs, but in the end we just roll up our sleeves, get on with it and realise it's done for all the best intentions and keeps us in jobs for another 12 months. We should recognise that the Board has the long term future of NCFC at it's heart and unfortunately this means not pleasing all the people all the time - Lambert and Holt may be the first of many or they may be the only ones wanting to leg it but someone else will want to take up the challenge of managing our fantastic club and I'm now looking forward to seeing who that is and getting right behind him and the team next season. No-one is bigger than the club and thanks to the diligence of the Board we'll still be here long after Lambert has dumped Villa in a couple of seasons to progress elsewhere.
Culverhouse and Karsa follow LAMBCHOPS wherever he goes⦠As for the players I suspect most will be happy to sit on their contracts, as they know they wonât be able to hack it in the Premiership without Lambert.
Do you think Mikey, We all take footballers as being thick ****s, but most of them will know that their stock is riding high at the moment so a good move could be on the cards, a season where they struggle and their stock goes down thus they have waited too long and won't get as much money. This is part of Lambo's thinking in my opinion!
So basically what you're saying is, by the time the season starts we will only have new signings and youth players in the squad as everybody else will be either gone or so pissed off they will be in the reserves rotting?
carra, i think its time to ignore everything guru posts. his desperation for us to collapse is understandable but its also undeniably pathetic.
tbh I think it's time for the moment he was banned from posting. If he was posting erudite witty comments it would be one thing but...
Oh God no Carra, but i would reasonably expect more to leave. It just some of your fans have this blinkered head in the sand attitude that it definately won't happen!
Can you tell me what i have done wrong, believe you me if we took this type of attitude over the last 2 years with norwich supporters on our board evry single one of you would be banned. just because i am giving a little back (being done politely, and no aggression) i find your attitude very childish and spoilt.
but you're saying it definitely will happen?! so we aren't allowed to say it probably won't happen?! none of this makes sense!! you talk crap man
I have never said it would definately happen, just that it was reasonable thing to expect. nobody really knows what goes on behind the scene, some of the players might be glad to see the back of Lambert.
thing is, its not really reasonable. its incredibly rare for a sudden surge of players to leave a club simply because a manager leaves. they might even prefer the new manager. culverhouse was a bit of a nightmare for the players on the training ground - maybe they'd like something a bit different, who knows. what i do know is that you're desperate for it to go tits up and it shows and its coming across quite sad
