It says he's on the verge of leaving, so not just yet Joe. I bet the general gist of its right though, that they're frantically looking for a short term replacement.
Sad, but almost inevitable now. Nearly 46,000 turned up and got poked in the eye by a team in his image. Not acceptable...

Poyet had hoped to persuade owner Ellis Short to give him a chance to repair the damage done by the diabolical home defeat to Aston Villa, but it seems the Black Cats board, led by director of football Lee Congerton have made up their mind to sack him. After the 4-0 humiliation on Saturday, Poyet insisted he still had the support of the players “The only thing I can promise is that we are going to keep working as hard as we can,” Poyet said. “I can say no more than that. Just to play with intelligence. “I cannot promise things because I do not know what is going to happen. The only thing I can promise is that we are going to analyse the situation and work as hard as we can to put it right. please log in to view this image Asked whether he had lost the support of his players, Poyet shook his head forcefully. “If I did then I am living in another world,” he replied. “It is totally not the case and is nothing to do with that.” more follows
“The only thing I can promise is that we are going to keep working as hard as we can,” Poyet said. “I can say no more than that. Just to play with intelligence". Make a change. Frankly, how he can still spout this crap is beyond my comprehension.
Glenn Hoddle? Can't stand the man, but he is a good coach, notwithstanding the reincarnation bollocks he spouts. There's not a lot out there ATM...
I don't really want to say not for me as I don't really have too many alternatives in mind but... Not for me.
REPORT: Poyet On Brink Of Sunderland Sack By michaelgraham @Capt_Fishpaste on Mar 15, 2015, 5:12p + please log in to view this image Nigel Roddis/Getty Images Is Gus Poyet's Sunderland reign over? TWEET (2) SHARE PIN Reports tonight suggest that Sunderland have decided to part company with Gus Poyet. This is a familiar dance around here. We do our nice new manager tango every 12-18 months, so we know the drill. First come rumours. We tend to ignore those. Then comes something actually credible, and this is it. The report is from, first and foremost, George Caulkin, who is both well-connected and still gives a crap about his name and reputation. Others are reporting it too, but it's come from Caulkin. So it seems the plan is to appoint someone short term until the end of the season before having a jolly old re-thtink in the summer. There isn't an awful lot we can add at the moment. If/when something happens, we'll be on top of it with opinion and updates. Two thoughts immediately stand out though. 1) You couldn't really make a case for Poyet staying after Saturday and 2) There are not a huge amount of candidates out there that would get you excited. I'm not sure that's a good combination. It's happening.
so he is going to analyse the situation and promises to work as hard as they can to remedy it.Should they not have already been working hard to prevent the current situation in the first place!!!!!! If as suggested he has been sacked then we need someone strong enough to take total control and instill some fight into the spineless Wayne Kerrs we have posing as professional footballers at out club
Nah mate, He thinks he is but infact he's going to clear his office out and get the **** off SAFC property.
Iam ****ing buzzing about this if its true. No more boring footy, no more gomez, buckteeth and Bridcock. Very happy this beautiful morning.
Feels so weird seeing a pal of mine plastered all over the national press and on Match of the Day Pleased he doesn't seem to have been given any grief for it.
Any decent manager will not pick them. If this is true then them 3 will be finish at sunderland. We'll I ****ing hope so.
