That makes pretty good sense this morning.

 

I think the team excelled because they had this sense of togetherness...they therefore all decided to up and go together as well. The board has decided to cash in (not necessarily because they wanted to) and go for a rebuild...at least the money is available for new players. Only time will tell if they were right to let players go or whether they should have said no. I have a feeling that if players like Lallana and Shaw were told no, Southampton could have become a legal test case of player power.
