I think it will be : Bournemouth Norwich Watford I hope it is another club other than Bournemouth (except us of course). What do you think ?
If Sam Byron hadn't sliced that last shot over, this thread wouldn't have been created, and I'm not brave enough to count us out just yet. All we have done this week is create hope, and we know what that does.
I think it would, just as it was last season. I`m sure many Saints fans are looking at other teams in the league and comparing our chances.
There are maybe 4 clubs it won't be: Liverpool, Leicester, Man City and Chelsea. The rest are all pretty dismal from what I've seen! We landed on our feet this last week. Not only did we pick up points but others didn't - Everton, for example. Last season we seem to have a good run at the same time as our rivals. However, should this be repeated we at least have given ourselves a chink of light by being ahead of the bottom three. Many are thinking about Bournemouth, which given how they humilaited us a few weeks back might seem a tad surprising, but I get that. Their momentum seems to be halting. I'm still looking for Sheff Utd to stutter, and maybe it has just started. OK, enough preamble. Bottom 3 to be Watford; Norwich and Sheffield United. Oh, no. It's like telling someone your wish when you're stirring the Xmas Pud. Now I've said it we're doomed!
Definitely won’t be Sheffield Wednesday Pretty sure it won’t be Sheffield Utd either. I really don’t care so long as it’s not us. But it might be.
Sheffield United's form is going the wrong way. They also haven't got the quality of other teams. They are definitely in danger of going down.
Also according to that table we all saw a week or so ago, they have 1 of the easiest run ins, which means the points they have against the teams they have played is very good indeed. Can't see it myself.
Watford and two others. Far too early to call. Of the 10 most likely candidates (including Sheff Utd) for those two places, it's only Newcastle and Burnley who I currently have any level of confidence over to stay up. Although Everton and West Ham could both buy their way out of trouble. Or, you know, actually appoint managers who know what they're doing.
I do think that the Mini-Skates are treading water in the PL and will go down eventually, especially if Howe goes or they lose a couple of key players. But like Brendy says it is Watford and 2 from half of the league at this time and any of those clubs are capable of a poor run. I hope Sheff Utd stay up though but not at the expense of us!
