Did anyone see his interview on canaries player the other day? Said the club needed to forget the last 1 1/2 - 2 years, not sure if there was anything malicious in that but don't reckon he's hughtons biggest fan.

Also said that NA was his under 10 coach at the norwich academy when he was younger, must be slightly surreal for him having him as a pro boss now.

It seems from what both Rudd and Surman have said that there's a good feeling in the dressing-room in spite of relegation and Snods leaving. Lafferty and Grabban have both commented on how easy it has been to fit into the squad so it's sounding good so far.

Tarting up his house for a sale? Unless Ruddy or Bunn leave it would seem that he is 3rd choice GK watching each match from the stand - no use to him at 23. Not fair to ask him to go out on loan again so could be a permanent move away. Personally I would keep him and sell Bunn but I'm not in charge.

You could take it as that, or tarting it up as he'll be living in it more next season as one of our first team 'keepers.

Personally I'd loan him out again, ideally to the lower end of the championship. So long as Ruddy stays fit his game time is going to be nominal, whether he's 2nd or 3rd choice here. I'd rather loan him out so he can play 40+ games in a season again, and continue to develop.

But would he want to go out on loan again? Last year was not the first time and it must be terribly disruptive to all other areas of his life. On top of that he must realise that being first choice could be a long way off.

I believe that he is ahead of Bunn in both ability and presence. He should be our number two. What is the point of the academy if you are going to block the better graduates chances of progress.

The Championship is a long season. I'd like to see Declan stay and get some games in the Cup and occasional mid-week games to give Ruddy a rest. Tony Parks will obviously have a view on this, but I think we should be building for the future this year.

Couldn't agree more. If Adams doesn't give the youngsters a chance then who will?

Possibly like in a strange way getting relegated to league 1 was really good for us perhaps this will also be with the chance to briong youngsters through into the first team

Courtesy of Sportsmole, some more words from Rudd:

"I've had a chat with the gaffer and I know I have two really good goalkeepers in front of me. Mark Bunn has proved himself, John Ruddy is an England international who is a Premier League goalkeeper, so for me to fight my way past them is a challenge but that is what I love. I love coming to work every day and knowing I have to work hard to push past people," the Eastern Daily Press quotes Rudd as saying.

"That is what I will look to do. I'm looking forward to the season. It can't come quickly enough. Everyone wants to play football but Norwich holds a special place for me and I want to play here. The manager makes that choice and I have two goalkeepers who I need to work hard to catch up with."

To me, that sounds like he wants to stay with Norwich this season and fight for a place, rather than go out on loan again. If he can make himself the de facto number 2 'keeper, and play regular cup games and perhaps some league appearances, then great. If Bunn remains ahead of him, then I'd prefer he was loaned out to get more experience. At 23, he needs game time to progress.

Edit: Just seen Supers post, if Bunn were to leave, would we be reliant on Remi Matthews as 3rd choice, or bring in someone like Nash again in a cover/coaching role?

I'd like to see DR given his chance. Though Bunn is a good shot stopper, IMO, he's slightly 'vertically challenged' to be a top goalkeeper.

Get rid of Bunn as though he has done nothing wrong and did well when we were without Ruddy he is a luxury we don't need. His wages would be better off spent elsewhere I think. Rudd is ample backup and then have Nash as third choice, Keeper/coach if we have injury problems

remi matthews as i understand it has been (or will be) rewarded with an upgraded pro deal and i imagine the club feel they don't need mark bunn, whose contract is meant to be rather hefty.

carlo nash has left the club by the way <ok>
