i was having a thought as I watched the video before the past few games, whilst it is nice to have alot of memories of our glory days, I was thinking it would be nice to include some of the more recent highlights, particulalry of this season so far, also the very end clip where it ends with a freeze framee of players celebrating from the prem days (think it was 2007 against west ham) i feel we should have a celebratory moment from the current squad at the end, thisd shows to me that we recognise our past, but we are truly embracing the present and the future as well as most of the squad are here long term... just an idea though!
Yup completely agree (yes I did think about putting me four) - It was slightly updated last season though to inc the arrival of Powell as Manager
haha glad I'm not the only one to think it's a good idea, maybe Mr Glovepup will see this and have a word with someone or be inspired himself kidding, I just felt that the club has been totally refreshed on the pitch and off it, that this would be a great way to reflect that, its been a long time since I felt we were going places and its a great feeling, but theres still a way to go, one aim!!
Let us win promotion first, and then we can glorify the team. Do we want to add pressure to the players? Or am I just being a misery?
I agree with Ponders. If we go on a massive losing streak and finish just above the relegation zone come the end of the season (unlikely but still possible) then we're not gonna want to watch our team celebrating their goals on the big screen
I actually agree with you Ponders, lets win something first, then we can celebrate, and put that up on the big screen
I didnt mean neccassarily the actual footage, just that image at the end of the 2006/07 squad celebrating, it just brings back bad memories!! dowie, reed, pardew! hasseklbaink, marcus bleeding bent!!!!
