This is from a post on different but I thought it to be valid enough for an article. What are the things that people find entertaining in a football team, I think this proves that he has to go and I don't think even the die hard Hughton supporters will think we have these traits. They are not necessarily my ideals but I think they encompass the general feeling of what makes for entertainment. Pace Passing Flair Goals Tackles Skill Comebacks Chasing Counter attacks Dribbling Determination Drive Movement Winning Upsets Last gasp Possession Moves Link up Now everyone look at that list and think about how many of these boxes we really tick. I think it shows just how awful a team we have become. Think of his predecessor and they are all the things we got almost every game. I look at it and the only thing I can think of under Hughton is the upsets, unfortunately there is a heck of a lot more upset to cancel it out. Even the joy from a great defensive team performance is missing. It has been like this from day one of his arrival, from the very first friendlies. He has got to go, he just doesn't deserve to be a football manager, let alone at my club.
Makes not one iota of difference what we think carrabuh, and anyway for at least half the teams in the Premier League, and all those in the bottom half, I guarantee entertainment is the last thing on their minds at the moment.
Entertainment may be secondary to staying up, and for every team going for brutalist football (Pulis, Allardyce), another has done well playing decent stuff (Pochettino, Laudrup). Our problem is we do neither.
What´s ridiculous about it? - how is what we think, going to change anything, and if you really think that entertainment is going to be the first priority of any club between Hull and C. Palace, considering the positions we´re all in at the moment, then I think you´re likely to be disappointed.
Well don't bother offering opinion then. I wasn't aware we are on here to influence those in charge. You mentioned it is the last priority, which is ridiculous, its very much a part of building a football club and success. Just look at us and the momentum and togertherness the club is losing because of it. All that goodwill is disappearing, and it is primarily down to the things I described. Is that the last thing on the owners minds? I would say it is very much at the forefront to any plan
And besides Royal, which of these things do you think we do well. Thats the trouble with yourself and Dave, your too interested in disagreeing with people showing discontent rather than providing opinion on why you think we are entertaining etc etc.
I thought it was fairly clear, I was talking about between now and the end of the season, which I´m sure you understood, and I would still guarantee that for any owners of any of those clubs I mentioned, survival is still the number one priority.
OK, so is entertainment the last thing on their minds? Is entertainment the last thing on your mind? Do you even care how we play?
No, I think its very true and not funny at all, I don't recall you contributing very often with opinion backed up with any real conviction.
And besides Royal, the context is the supporters view, which is important. I don't know why you mentioned them, probably so you didn't have to think about what I'm saying.
To be fair, Mcnally did talk about the entertainment factor and the fact that Norwich has a history of playing entertaining football.......
Hi bors, I'm just delighted that someone at the club is hitting the target (CH on target). Hopefully he will now pass some of that skill onto our players !!! Regarding entertainment, I've always been of the opinion that winning a game of football is the aim with entertainment taking a secondary stance. Three points against Hull will do nicely regardless how City achieve them. I'm not too proud if a Hull player puts through his own goal to provide the winner.
Well, I don't have issues with the owners other than not firing him. But in footballing terms we are devoid of anything that might make you smile. We don't even pretend to play football.
