This site seems to have 1 or 2 who actually think he isn't pathetic. Who hasn't been Pardewed in our squad? Who has improved?

Williamson & Debuchy have improved. With Debuchy it's probably just a case of having gotten used to the league and nothing to do with Pardew. Some would argue Cabaye improved before leaving but I think he had actually gone downhill before motivating himself and raising his game in order to gain a move.

Gouffran seems to be suffering but it may have been due to fatigue. HBA has gone backwards partly through misuse but mostly due to his own poor mentality. Cisse has been reduced to dross. Sissoko has never looked as good as he did in his first few games but is probably playing at his true level rather than having gone backwards. Anita has grown used to the league but hasn't really improved or regressed. Tiote is all over the place. Colo has maintained the same high level disregarding the affects of increasing age. Santon hasn't improved enough. Krul has regressed, probably through lack of genuine competition.

It doesn't make for sterling reading, but players are not all being outright ruined. The real problem is that the maximum is not being extracted from any of our players unless they have a personal goal such as Cabaye playing for a move.

The real problem is Pardew is a **** manager. West Ham knew it. Southampton sure as **** knew it. We all know it but he is here for the duration. He could sexually assault Howard Webb mid-match and Ashley would never get rid of him.

To me the term Pardewed is a crock of ****e and excuse for underperforming players, unprofessional players, or players just not quite as good as some would like to believe. He is no great shakes but he has not made any player go backwards. He probably hasn't improved all that many, which points to a middle of the road manager. His results on poor resources could be judged as good or average.

Alright Ben? I am one of the ones who objects to the term 'Pardewed' on this site, although I'm by no means the only one. Also get cheesed off with the overuse of it on the Chronicle's comments section (there's such a circle jerk of beel on there). I also put a couple of ACS baiting tags on a recent thread he'd made, though given his own history I would hope he took them in the good humour they were intended.

I don't particularly love or hate Pardew to be honest, and I don't think he is outside of the norm in terms of a good or poor coach. Clearly there are some playing staff on our books who have had poor runs of form, but use of the term Pardewed for every single time someone doesn't play as well as we have once seen them, or has an off game gets so dull. There are many factors that can cause a player to play well one week and less well the next. To just say 'oh they've been Pardewed' stifles debate and intelligent analysis on why they might not be performing. Its convenient and too easy to say that its due to tactical ineptness or poor coaching as to why players aren't playing well.

Don't get me wrong, I certainly don't think Pardew is a great manager. I don't think he is particularly poor either though, as a lot on here seem to do. As you seem to be fond of our number 10, I will pick him up s an example. By all means list other players and we can debate though. HBA is often cited as a player who has been Pardewed, as he fell so far out of favour last season. However, cast your mind back to 11/12 and Pardew carefully nurtured HBA to get him back from injury and playing at his best. He set up the team to favour Ben Arfa and got him playing well as part of a front 3. The next season HBA struggled with injuries and last season he seemed to struggle with his weight and his attitude seemed to be poor. This could be partly down to Pardew but don't forget this was a guy who had fallen from favour at 2 major French clubs before signing for us (which was how he was so cheap).

So yeah, I don't agree with the phrase basically...

Should be interesting to see how the likes of Vukic, Ferguson etc are now, I still have hope for these 2!

I saw those awful and abusive tags and have gone all Mackem and made a complaint to the supermods cos I can't take banter. I'll never speak to you again for that.. how dare your call me a beeler. I'm seriously offended by name calling like that.
I'm also offended by the ACS bangs wombats, dophin holes... etc... tags as I love animals I really do so I'm going to report everyone to everyone else until this bullying ends as my mod tools let me see exactly who is bullying me at any given moment.

    Ahhhh.

    Back on topic.

We're stuck with Pardew so I just hope we can sell each of our star players before they get totally Pardewed.... one more season and Debuchy will be a piss poor left winger under Pardew.... so the time's right to sell him..

It's clear Pardew is bulletproof and we will be stuck with him for 6 more years so I'll just get behind the lads now for next season and hope the whole staff pull their finger out and finally realise what the club means to us mere fans.

Tut tut, such talk of reality is not allowed in these parts. I suggest you give yourself a dressing down. Come back a Benny fanboy or don't come back at all. He ain't fat, he is just big boned. And Pards has slipping weight gainers in his protein shake.

He's limited and roundly hated. Where a club is sympathetic to its' fan base and image, it would do the sensible thing and remove such a figure. At NUFC, of course, the fans are a necessary evil and the image is irrelevant.

Tim Krul - World Cup penalty saving super sub has only saved 2 in 20 penalties for NUFC?! I sense the sinister hand of Pardew at work here!
