What is Armstrong doing for a living these days ... ... is he a Brian Marwood at a top club? Perhaps I missed his latest career moves because I'm thick.
Seen this argument a lot. Sartori has had no impact as he’s been a minority shareholder. If he becomes a majority one that may be different. And KLD isn’t going to buy a club and then ask somebody the fans hate to run the club for him when he could pay anybody to do it.
I'm not reading past the first line tbh. You're quoting a man who claimed his daughter was kidnapped but didn't call the police
I have some shares in Standard Life - I get to Vote at the AGM - am I involved yes do I have a major influence no. Shareholder appoint directors to run the business day to day and that's why the appointment of a sporting director is key to this. The new money men are going to want the best they can get. SD from the outset was going to sell up as soon as possible so he wanted all his people in situ so they all were working for this aim.
I think it's very likely that the current owners combined will have more than 50%. Ultimately though, Donald and Methven are still irrelevant unless they can get Sartori to agree with them. Sartori will know how badly we've been ran thus far, so I don't think he'll be going against KLD very regularly. This is especially the case if they agree that a Sporting Director should be hired. Get the right person and they'd be pulling the strings, there's not much reason why the others would club together to cause an issue. The main problem we've had with Donald is penny pinching and cashing in on academy products because he didn't want to spend money. That shouldn't be an issue if 80% of the club is owned by billionaires . The other main problem has been recruitment, which the sporting director should address. And the manager which you'd imagine would also be resolved. If it happens its a positive regardless of share percentage as long as Donald does drop to around 15%. The big one for me, in addition to the people brought in, is what happens to the loan, I'm not convinced FPP will be completely out of the picture
He is normally okay with Sunderland news to be honest and alluded to Sartoris mate being the one for possible investment months ago (Dreyfus).
He has literally said /it's shaping up that way' when someone asked if Methven will be strongly involved.
Here’s a bit of balance the: CM and for those who are adamant he has forever been pulling the strings:
I'm no financial/business expert but if there is anything that the last 2 years have taught me it's that Donald is tight as **** and likes to employ his mates (Reid, Fox, Rodwell, Hill). Once the appointment of the sporting director is confirmed I think it will be very evident who is pulling the strings, and I doubt it will be Donald or Methven. I'm choosing to be positive and expecting a massive culture change at the club. Life is too short to be negative all the time. KTF
So Nixon is suggesting the share split will be roughly KLD - 40% ; JS - 40% ; Donald / Methven - 20% between them. That will definitely mean that a substantial group of fans will see KLD as the minority. For the sake of harmony of the fans we could really do with a clear and unarguable statement that KLD is THE guy. Hopefully this announcement due this week will show that things are very different as prehab hopes. Then we are rocking!
he seems mostly right about us to be Frank (no pun). And whilst he’s normally vague and can be taken with a pinch of salt, I think I may have prompted the longest tweet he’s ever written
