Tell ya what mate, I had about 3 decades where I knew nowt and things were much simpler. I only knew people like Doug Wetherall, Mike Neville, Roger Thames, etc, and that was a fluke tbh. Once I encountered seriously wealthy people I thought I could keep pace with them but. in realty, they're always ten steps ahead. Whatever we think we know is what we're allowed to know,. No matter how clever we are that's the truth. *Warning: The person posting this had taken strong drink
Are you 100% sure? Because if not you will be hung, drawn, and quartered for daring to say such things.
It's a fair point smug, you mention 30 years ago when it was simpler, and it undoubtedly was. All the social media stuff now is instant, and it's 'published' to thousands by anyone and everyone, judgments are made on players and managers instantly, eg Onien was written off after his first 45mins on his debut when he got subbed off. Different world these days I suppose and I'm 'only' 40. Got to teach my kids to learn/deal/cope/report/TELL THEIR DAD about this stuff.
Your problem is that any conversation that starts with 'in my day' leads to fingers in ears. Can't advise on how to proceed I'm afraid ....
These people know lots of things ... ... except how incredibly boring they are. The greatest international scientists haven't yet found a scale to measure how boring they are.
Great to see Patterson sign a long term deal, he's got a good future ahead of him in my opinion and another example to the academy kids that with hard work and dedication can get you the step up to the first team. On the ITK subject that some posters seem very hung up on, I have always said the lads who post info do so in good faith. It gives us things to talk about and discuss. The fact some of it changes or doesn't even happen shouldn't be a stick to constantly go on about or points score, its life, things change. Maybe try not to take it so seriously and enjoy the ride. Now to important things, signings to be made and me and dad need to rejoin the local branch to be ready for the first game of the season
Patterson is another who should have a good career. We’ve done very well with the AOL… it’s great to see.
If this thing about Neil is bollocks, which it probably is, that twat on twitter posting that deserves a slap. Calls himself a Sunderland fan, **** off.
He’d have heard we’re negotiating a new deal with Neil and there’s a back and forth between salary and length of the deal. He’s jumped the gun massively suggesting Neil is going to walk over it. The poster has put 2 and 2 together and made 5.
