Appreciate it,mate. I like to speak from the heart when it comes to stuff like this. Say what I see if you will. Because it was horrid. Small groups of us sat together still going that have gotten to know one another over the years, numbers dwindling around each week because people had had enough and I can't blame them. I'd stand there at full time after a crap 1-0 defeat in the.. let's call it what it is, 3rd division look around at people not even that fed up anymore, half expecting a loss and a couldn't give a ****e performance. But at no point did I think "this isn't for me anymore", it's my club and I'm thankful for a 23 year old billionaire sat watching Netflix one day and possibly thinking "this is for me". KTF

 

Its hilarious looking at the takeover thread on the Newcastle 606 site. There is not a single hope that takeover will ever go through yet they are all certain its happening

Bless them. Imagine supporting a club with absolutely nothing to look forward to

 

I wouldn't say that, they are all looking forward to Bruce leaving!

 

They are always a rich blessing to us.

They will in the end be taken over mind. But if it is not the appalling Arabs, then whoever does turn up there will be onto the same hiding to nothing as the managers who have followed Keegan and now Benitez. They will never be good enough.

And even if it is the Arabs, with all their loathing of the West and it's culture and values, it still won't be enough unless they win the Flower Show, the World Cup, Miss World and The Great British Bake Off, along with the Premier League and Champion's league. In the same season. And along with prize for best leek in the same year's Benwell Leek Club competition.

 

Joking arnt yer....had to move from north stand because of black cats bar, went to south stand...then had to move as kids want to go & no kids tickets there...happy settled in the south west now...leave the ****ers where they are

 

They should move the turnstiles in the north stand to level where the brick pillars are and create a wider fans area by bringing that walkway within the ground. Close the roadway to cars between there and the swimming pool on match days.

Not many genuine Mags ( those there before the formation of the Geordie nayshun) remember winning anything, the 92ers see having somebody at the clerb who won something at another club (even if it is years ago) as them being "winners", hence the strange fixation on Benitez

 

Good article on Gooch in the Athletic today. My favourite quote from him:

its unreal, its success by association. I'm not sure they'll ever appoint a manager who will match up to Rafa, simply because they've built him up to mythical demi-god status. It's ****ing hilarious.

A trerphy not a certficate

 

Our clubs are both in the north east of England
We both haven't won a trophy in years
We both have excellent fans supporting the club through thick and thin

Which would you prefer

One of our clubs is in the Premier League generally getting crap results every week
Has an owner who doesn't communicate too well with the fans
Believe they are the media darlings
Think they should be champions league winners
Lust after failed managers (Benitez & Shearer)
Wanted a Geordie to manage the team.
Never got one but a manager close to being one (He tells everybody he is)
A manager with very selective memory (He never give up)
A dinosaur manager who lives well in the past

The other one is
In the 3rd division and after a dreadful start are playing football that is very pleasing to the eye
Winning most weeks and the best defence in the league
Have a manager who is a proper coach and turned crap players into effective players
A forward thinking manager
Have an owner who has restructured (which is ongoing) and brought a new life and hope to everyone
Have a feel good factor amongst everybody associated with the club
Can see a vision and a future of real hope

I don't care what they say I bet there are a few mags who would rather be in our position than ours

OH AND WE HAVE JUST WON AT WEMBLEY

 

This is a cracking idea! I’ve been thinking, how could we create more space, add somewhere to sit with a drink after the match, even add a carpet and some heating. This would be ideal. Whenever we upgrade to the Black Cats bar, we spend ages after drinking, even moving round to Quinn’s bar when BC closes. Something like this would enable more folk to hang around and put money into the club, rather than bolting straight out at full time and off to some boozer.

Well have to say the takeover seems to be going well so far.....interesting to listen to all the interviews yesterday all commenting on it feeling like a new era that they are desperate to be a part of. Exciting times!
