Haven't been listening, what was said?
Agreed, is getting paid for his opinion on the takeover but has no idea about it at all. Its disappointing, 30 minutes research into the KLD will tell you he doesn't need advice from Donald on football matters. The state of the club under Donald with the asset stripping means if anyone did need advice on a club Donald is the last person to ask.
Nothing in the statement to say KLD is committed long term. He could be here until he is 86 or 26. Hasslebaink has Burton playing well, 3 wins in 4. Pryde tried to cut him off and say we will talk about Burton tomorrow and he kept on about how we haven't beaten them in the last 5 games or something. Can't stand the bloke tbh.
Wonder if the brother is going to be buying out the shares of Donald et al, which could be why he needs to pass the EFL fit and proper test.
Yeah because owners usually release a statement about how long they are going to be owning a club. He always comes across negative, not sure if he is bitter about something or just generally a negative bloke.
Honestly think he dislikes us with a passion. How he got the gig commentating on us I'll never know.
Late to the party but Gettin!
Thanks to the lads that have shared bits and bobs - helped us keep the light at the end of the tunnel in sight.
Welcome to our new owner. You have already given me more hope of an upturn in fortunes than I have had in years.
This club and its supporters are bloody fantastic. We dont have any divine right to any success and right now we are where we deserve to be. With the new owner, new structure, new manager and coaches, and a striker on fire, I reckon we can begin to deserve much better.
Time for a Jura.
I think the same. Not sure why but he doesn't like the club in my opinion.
That harsh on asylums
Kevin Phillips on @SkySportsNews: “This is a football club that’s been in the doldrums for a long time. He (KL-D) is 23, I’m sure he won’t have made many huge decisions in his short life - but he’s going to have to make some big ones now. Sunderland deserves it.” #safctakeover
Very quiet at the Academy when I went past earlier. Dreyfus oot!!!
The problem with that is Phillip's is looking at this lad and getting him confused with your average joe 23 year old. When in fact this lad is a billionaire and was always going to have multi billion £ trust fund.
Are meant to believe this lad hasn't been preparing to be a billionaire businessman all his life and will have no idea how to run a business and make big decisions?
I wonder if he gives an interview in next few days
Didn’t stunt my growth well not in that department anyway
Absolutely delighted with the news. We can look forward to a brighter future I’m sure. Great to hear that there are longer term plans in place for the club, but from what I can understand KLD is already identifying things not right immediately and getting stuff sorted.
As many have already said a really big thank you to @Magnus , @Prehab26 , @Smug in Boots ,@Wheatsheaf and I also think @Starsky has known a bit more than he’s let on!
right, that’s all done now I’m away to get pissed and enjoy me might.
Hope so. I’d be happy with some quotes in print or an interview done on the club website. Doesn’t need to be some big media fanfare with TV and radio interviews but hearing his vision first hand would be excellent.
Really hope they get him on the Sunderland unfiltered podcast
Thank god its over the line, appreciate the info posted by all the ITKs
Might be a few sour grapes from SKP I reckon
Haha this thread is slowing down now, I’m guessing we’re all busy celebrating. I’m on my 6th carling premier and after that I’ll move on to my stash of red wine. Enjoy your evening lads n lasses
