Just had this from my lovely French contact, bless her Haway lads, we're being reported in the biggest French sports media, dreamland. (He's 23 btw.)
In fairness the warnings appear to be in relation to derogatory posts regarding Donald and Methven that are potentially libellous.
Champion, his Mam Will have a part to play, she probable will never be seen at games, but she will have some input,
If she's not at Wembley I'll be very surprised. She has an apartment in London near the American banker I worked for ... ... it's only a few stops on the tube
What a fantastic day to be a fan of Sunderland Football Club! Huge thanks and admiration to all those who had the balls to put their necks on the line and share the information they were hearing. You have all been vindicated, and have the admiration of thousands who have had their spirits lifted during times of absolute despair on and off the pitch. I raise a glass to everyone who loves this club through thick and thin, and have never wavered from their belief that there would eventually be a Silver Lining once the dark clouds had gone. Bon Chance to you all. God Bless Sunderland Football Club.
If only I could change my name from "Dour Mackem" to "Happy Mackem", I would but alas that name change option seems to be disabled on the boards now.
The best feeling in the world! Thanks to all the usual suspects and their various sources. This week has seemed like one long gateway to our future and like everyone else I can't wait for the fans to get back into the stadium. With a financially secure future and a long term ambition perhaps it will kill some of the anxious negativity so ensuring all fans can do what we do best, cheer on the lads! Who knows, it might even persuade the leaving 15 minutes early brigade to stay until full time!
Do you know how it works investment wise. If KLD spends say 1m, does he pay 590,000, others pay their bit? Or does he pay it all and others potentially benefit on sale? Cheers
Bet the two we want rid of will be there too. Hope not it’s a great chance for all the new regime to enjoy it.
Seriously mate, this will have knock ons we couldn't imagine. KLD's mam is a big hitter in all kinds of realms, not just football. The name Louis-Dreyfus, aligned to SAFC, will attract all kinds of attention. The takeover is already being reported in France, Russia and Switzerland. Sponsors will be attracted because they'll want to curry favour with the family and, for the same reason, will want to loan us players. This isn't an anonymous financier like Short, it's much bigger.
