Nah it’s not. KLD got wind of some demands made by RAWA. He figured out that he was out of his depth so pulled the plug.
RAWA.....huge own goal with that statement. Tho, having read it fully it doesn't appear to be too 'demanding' just needed wording better in parts of it...........
One of the things I’d like to see from the new owners, not necessarily straightaway, is to bring SAFC Ladies back into the official club and give it the correct backing. They’ve been more or less cast aside and at the mercy of the FA who have continually shafted them. If we’re to raise our profile and with the ladies game becoming more and more a major part of the overall game I think we should be integrating them more and have them as an integral part of our overall club.
Reminded me of the Likely Lads when Terry tells Bob they attacked some Rangers fans to get their retaliation in first. The Echo posted the original headlining our 'clear message' to Louis-Dreyfus and 'our demands' ... .... it read like an open letter from the Mags..
Absolutely wrong about the lads who are the committee. I think you will find that until the deal is rubberstamped everything is in limbo. Donald still owns the Club as the M shareholder at this minute. I'm posing a question then that needs answering, How do you suggest that supporters voice their concerns? Singly or as a collective bearing in mind once the Supporters Trust and its members has been formed and granted Trust status (I'm not an expert on supporters trusts) the Club have an obligation to communicate with them directly.
Hence the concern that RAWA were jumping the gun. I support RAWA but they really need to learn from this statement which, imo, was premature and arrogant. Why should RAWA be voicing concerns now when the new owner hasn't put a foot wrong, comes with an untarnished reputation and has spelled out his aims ... ... not to mention investing millions of his own cash. If RAWA take a step back I'd be pleased tbh. If the supporters have concerns they'll make it clear home and away ... ... just as they did when they wanted Bruce out.
I'm sure that question was going to be put to the Club by RAWA if my memory is accurate...its not always unfortunately
I may be wrong again, I seem to recall that the statement by Rawa was for a meeting with the Club requested before there was any Club statement on Christmas Eve regarding the proposed take over.
That's not right like. We've had a Sporting Director and a new Head Coach appointed so we're not in limbo, we've seen the first decisions of our new owner being put into place.
The RAWA welcome to wearside statement was made four days ago, so all club statements were available to them. It looks like they couldn't be bothered to read them though. https://www.redandwhitearmy.co.uk/post/rawa-reaction-to-takeover
