mind, after recent years it would be hard to argue 'from the outside' as it were, we do seem to lose interest quickly to those outside the club...those who have also suffered know exactly where we are coming from. fact is, SD always said he did not have the cash if/when we got promoted, he was after a fast turn around and profit, unfortunately for him and us his plans did not work as he/we wished...as of recent developments the club is already heading in a new and different direction, also, we all hope this is a long term relationship as it certainly does not look like another 'stop gap'.
Bladdered. I’ll have a late breakfast and it’ll be cheap cereal and full fat milk. Probably. Merry Takeovermas.
And we just achieved it with subtle but constant justifiable pressure. The Newcastle supporters, in my opinion, have made potential owners wary with their death threats, stalking and endless street protests. Apart from taking the owner's daughter hostage we've just continued to ask logical questions, refused to accept the excuses and maintained our dignity. Attacking the owner, targetting his businesses and following him to restaurants may seem like passion to the supporters but looks like 'that could be me' to prospective buyers. £300 million is a lot to fork out to become a pariah. The idiotic MP, Chi Onwurah, can take a huge part of that blame, as which potential buyer would welcome having questions asked about them in Parliament. Her behaviour has been absolutely disgraceful tbh. What arrogance and delusion to believe a backstreet politician could 'work with the Saudis' to improve their appalling record on human rights. Ashley may be a terrible man but Newcastle were in huge financial difficulties and he was in a queue of one to buy them. Without his intervention they may well have 'done a Southampton' and gone under, quite easily. I'd like to think, as you're suggesting, that we can treat ourselves to a little pat on the back today.
****ing hell, sad ****ers, they need to concentrate on the **** show that they support. Do they all post on RTG?
Wonder if we'll let go/pay off likes of Graham, O'Brien etc in January to make room in the squad for incoming players.
Being covered in France now ... ... "The North East England club explains that a first player tested positive earlier this week and that tests carried out on some other players and staff subsequently revealed four new cases." https://www.lequipe.fr/Football/Actualites/Le-coronavirus-prive-sunderland-de-boxing-day/1206519 I never usually post on Christmas Day but this year is exceptional ... ... with the lock downs, takeover, etc, I reckon I won't be the only one. please log in to view this image
I think the difference is this time we are aware that KLD comes from a footballing background, he appears to have listened to people around him who have advised him on how to approach this from the start. I believe he has a clear plan, with goals and timelines. He will put people in roles that have the credentials and he will look to the best for this club, if only Ellis Short had done the same.....
GTFI. Brilliant news, best footballing present ever. Well done to the itk lads for keeping it going. Jingle all the way. KTF

Forget the team for a second, I can't wait for a proper structure, data analysis, research, player development. Our amazing infrastructure needs a bit of modernisation. Merry Christmas everyone
Merry Kyr-istmas everyone! Have a smashing day lads and lasses. Unfortunately there’s no Boxing Day game for us to blow the roof off the Stadium of Light, but we’ll be there when we’re allowed again. All the best for the new year.
Surrounded by socks, keks, slippers, Lynx Africa and smiling like a Cheshire cat after yesterday's announcement! Have the best Xmas possible lads & lasses!
