Not one for bumping my own posts, but it is purely coincidence that I posted this and the FPP "update" coming out. I am not ITK!
Yep. We're basically saying we're skint, giz a lend, then wasting the money. EFL wouldn't be letting anyone buy players.Begs question, if we're asking for 300k , just how far away is a billionaire takeover?
So can I just ask about this bailout, is it a case of Donald being over dramatic to get a bigger slice of it and the transfer embargo being attached to it just what the EFL has offered the club?
Cheers Interesting it’s just Nixon. He’s been way off the pace with takeover news lots of speculation Not convinced he’s in the loop but time will tell. Would certainly be excellent if KFD could take a bigger cut
According to Rodwell there is no problem with the takeover, they have had contaxt with efl but its a complicated deal so takes time. Think he will know more than the rumours from people like nixon
As I undestand it , it is as scootsie has said, in 3 parts. 1 £350k which all League One clubs get. 2. A grant calculated from lost income of having no crowds and 3. An interest free loan to be applied for by clubs in difficulties. It is only the 3rd one which has the transfer embargo. The argument being made by SAFC is to maximise the grant i.e element 2 which doesn't have the transfer embargo if my reading of JR's statement is right.
We arent asking for 300k, clubs get 375k anyway fron the bailout. Why would theybturn that down, it covers some of the gate losses. You only get a transfer embargo if you take the extra grant available
we have to prove we need it tho. The EFL would be very within their rights to say “well complete your takeover then”
he’s been saying it’s Sartori and his mates and not FPP throughout, whilst this forum was adamant it was Fuhrman, he was saying it wasn’t. he’s also been saying the last couple of weeks that it’s not as advanced as some think because American money still needs sorting and there was still stuff to sort out equity-wise. Which is now turning out to be true. So I wouldn’t say he’s been way off the pace. Quite the opposite in fact.
