FFS have a read of what you have just suggested, you are thinking of buying Sunderland football club about a month ago, and you would ask Phil ****ing Parkinson, well, why would you ask him anything?

I'm sure Rodwell said recently that we were in a period of exclusivity with ONE preferred bidder. If the deal is with the EFL as we all believe, how can two groups be involved.

I suppose it depends on how long ago, when he spoke to the different parties.

It could have been months ago

That's true but even if that's the case I doubt they can progress it further until the deal that's at the EFL is resolved one way or another.

  11. Yep,and the request to review the players Johnson referred to in his recent interview could also have been months ago.
We were thinking that the prospective new owners had people experienced in English football advising them. We all went for McLaren, Allardyce, or someone of that stature, but it could just as easily have been someone like Johnson who had more experience of the third division.
His intelligent reviews may have helped him into the job full time in the end.

Spot on. That's exactly what I posted previously. The prospective new owners cannot OFFICIALLY represent the club. IMO Donald has been told to do what they instruct hence the meetings etc.

  16. I agree. There's a general view around that this takeover is a hostile one, that SD doesn't want to do it and lose, that he's holding out for more money all the time,or refusing to reduce his shareholding to below a control level. It's highly likely this is not the case and that SD is acting in the interests of the new owners and the club by continuing to front it up until the EFL approval is received.
