Love the original and this I've always liked for his visuals, there's something other worldly about MM...
My neighbor has been practicing trombone every afternoon between 5 to 7pm. Fair play to them, but from where I am sitting it sounds like an off key plus very bad version of this...
Sad night tonight, last gig of the year Been a productive year though, here's a quick list of some of the bands I've managed to catch in 2018..... The Slow Readers Club The Good, The Bad & The Queen Slaves Idles Alt-J We Were Promised Jetpacks The Wedding Present Queen Texas Arctic Monkeys Interpol Miles Kane Fatherson Big Country The Beat The Levellers The Orb Aidan Moffat Courtney Barnett At The Drive In Death From Above The Big Moon Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Dreadzone Bombskare Car Seat Headrest Gomez Paul Draper Brian Jonestown Massacre Nothing But Thieves Atari Teenage Riot Stonefield
Well that was a treat - really don't know what I was expecting from tonights gig, but it was far better than I imagined. My pal and I obviously missed the memo that asked half the crowd to start chanting "READERS" every 2 minutes before the gig started, and the co-ordinated hand movements the "faithful' had for the first few songs! This was the first gig for a while that I caught a train to, so a few beers in I soon caught up with what was going on!! Anyway, the band were far better live than I thought they'd be... ..crowd were well up for it (Saturday night in Glasgow - what do you expect!). I've seen quite a few bands over the years, these were a mix of Editors, Interpol, White Lies and Hurts, and the singer has a bit of Ian Curtis about him. Very talented musically, would recommend catching them when they are on tour next year....although the Glasgow date is sold out
