1.Roberto Mancini: No one wants Carlos Tevez

Argentine striker Tevez handed in an official transfer request earlier this summer.

He was unsuccessfully pursued by former club Corinthians and returned to training on Monday.

It was still anticipated he would leave City before the transfer window closes at the end of the month.

But Mancini said: "It is two weeks until the end of the market. I think it is difficult for him to leave.

"I don't know if he will stay but at the moment, there isn't a team who want to take him.

"I would be happy if he stays."

Mancini has indicated Tevez will not be involved in Monday's Premier League opener with Swansea.

And less than 6 hours later.

2.ARSENAL have sensationally told Manchester City: Give us Carlos Tevez and you can have Samir Nasri.
Hitman Tevez has been trying to get out of Manchester all summer.

And with Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger under growing pressure to bring in a top buy, the Gunners have suddenly come up with their shock proposal.

Midfielder Nasri had hoped to sign for City by yesterday lunchtime after being promised a £180,000-a-week deal.

But Arsenal - also on the verge of losing skipper Cesc Fabregas - have blocked the move while they see if they can sort a swap with Tevez.

The Gunners will have to make a cash adjustment in City's favour for the Argie because the club's top scorer is valued at £50million.

The best Arsenal can get for Nasri is £25m as there is only one year remaining on the French star's contract - meaning he could walk for nothing next summer.

However, Arsenal are hoping to get the Tevez fee down by £10m.

I wouldn't want Tevez though. He'd moan throughout the whole season about the weather, his family, missing Eastenders on Champions league nights - he is never happy! He's made it perfectly clear that he wants away from, not only City, but England.

Every year he says he wants to leave England, but ends up staying. Just like every year the Spuds say they will finish above us in the PL. Both talk bollox tbh.

I think Tevez's excuse is that he is bi-polar. Whereas the other lot are just deluded :p
