Haha - you beat me to it Swim; was just about to paste exactly the same link! Makes interesting reading, and he is obviously frustrated with the way the press handled the whole 'non-issue'!

Think the Evening Post behaved atrociously throughout that whole period and have put an end, once an for all, to their supposed support of the Swans. They behaved like tabloid sewer rats, they couldn't care less about Swansea City, they just care about boosting their circulation - to them bad news is good news - and if there is no bad news then they will just make it up!

His last comment is a bit throwaway but could be about Rhodes. A bit of a kick in the balls though!!

A great, lengthy interview, but one problem ...just watch the rags take soundbyte quotes out of context and twist it around again!

I agree Cartoon, the SWEP has lost so many readers over their behaviour over this and the measles saga. If only there was an alternative....oh, yeah..free news in the interweb! **** em, they wont get 48p off me again

Well hopefully that clears it up and onwards we go. You can understand his frustration at being asked about his commitment to the club and it appears that hasn't changed .An interesting quote regarding buying lower half Championship players I wonder who that may have been ?

I stated before the press got anything, that his agent was a glorified car sales man and a spiv who was causing problems!! That much is very much a fact, and it did cause problems between both Huw and Laudrup, no matter what is being said now, after some very good transfer dealings, and if you want to check, it's all down on Norway's bad news thread!................<ok>

I was wondering if he was referring to Ince. I don't know where Blackpool finished, I hope he's talking about Ince though because that'll have them fuming down the M4.

Incidentally I was at The Swalec Stadium today watching Glamorgan play Hampshire and there were a few Cardiff fans sitting in front of me. I listened into their conversation and they were basically saying how worried they are at the lack of signings they've made. They didn't seem convinced that Cornelius is a great buy at 8m and they seem less convinced that Tan is prepared to put his money where his mouth is. They topped it off by saying "To be honest I'm really jealous of Swansea. Everything they do, is right, and look at their squad. I can see us getting humiliated when they play us!"

    That made my day lol!

I think he meant the lower half of the premier. As in the team now consists of minimum mid table quality players.

It's clear you don't buy the post any longer swimaway it went up to 50p two weeks ago. At one time they were the mouthpiece for the club, now it's all rumour and supposition. Not surprised though for a South Wales EVENING paper edited and printed in BRISTOL. Whatever even more astounding is that it prints the paper the DAY BEFORE i.e.Wednesdays evening paper is printed on Tuesday night

I read a big piece on the situation yesterday in the danish paper Ekstra Bladet (Scandal seeking rag like your own culprits). It was the extended article in the physical version of the paper. And I noted, that the journo suddenly, in passing wrote. That the Bayrum incident was caused, because he was apparantly very busy selling of Ashley Williams behind the clubs back.

That's not all he was up too, but out of respect for Laudrup, I'll not say anything more on the subject, only to reiterate my description of him previously as a glorified car salesman and spiv!........................<ok>

Just posted a letter to the Evening Post!

Have read your 'exclusive' Laudrup interview with interest because I believe you have behaved disgracefully during your invented 'summer of unrest'.

Just about everything you printed was supposition and rumour and it seems that for your so called reporters bad news is good news, and if there is no bad news they will just make something up! The standard of reporting was egregious in the extreme with no credible sources within the club cited. Your 'reports' were littered with lazy journalism such as 'privately Laudrup is very angry about the lack of progress in the transfer market'. You didn't attribute any quotes, just based all your articles on rumours.

Laudrup repeatedly said that he was staying with Swansea, and you repeatedly reported that his future at the club was in doubt. One of the final questions about the rumours of discontent made me laugh out loud; 'Is it all the media's fault?' you said. Laudrup, ever the diplomat, said no. Well guess what - Yes!!! It was the media's fault with the main protagonist being the Evening Post! You have always portrayed yourselves as supporters of Swansea City, but your conduct during the past few weeks gives a different impression. I realise that you want to increase your circulation, you are a business after all, but you have pursued that goal to the detriment of the team you claim to support. Your continued reports of Laudrup's supposed discontent may have seriously hamperred the club's negotiations with potential targets - would they sign if they were unsure whether the manager would still be there for the coming season?

You portray yourselves as supporters of the Swans, wanting the best for the team and the city - but your conduct during the last few weeks shows you up for what you are; you don't really care about the team - all you want to do is sell newspapers, and if that means reporting on a conflict that doesn't exist then so be it.

I have followed this issue on several Swansea City boards, and there are many Swansea City fans who have expressed their disgust and vowed to never buy the Evening Post again!

cartoon The EP can only print what has occurred at the time. Every man and his dog knew that jinx and laudrup had a massive falling out and after a lengthy time where laudrup was on the verge of walking a compromise has been reached, Do you honestly think we would spend £12 million and one of laudrups targets if there was no compromise. The EP were doing their job brilliantly keeping us all informed on what was going on because without fans putting pressure on the club with their views that they should back laudrup then it may not have happened and we would be looking for a new manager without knowing the reasons....So well done the EP for keeping us all informed whether its good or bad. There is no way that laudrup would slag jinx off now and vice versa....

Evening Post doing brilliantly ? Sorry Dai they were far from that, and they didn't back up one of their so called facts with anything other than speculation and supposition. They have lost a lot of customers with their made up bullshit, and they have lost a lot of face with this.

And lets look at this, they have lost their media darling called Brendan, he was quite happy to supply them with all the blarney going! Now lets look at the situations where they got **** all, and were basically told to piss off, Sousa wouldn't take the crap, and got hounded by them. Laudrup was pursued relentlessly by them, but he had the class not to get involved.

Two different manager the same crap from the evening post, they don't report news, they ****ing create it, investigative journalism they call it , I call it an agenda to stick up our club and to sell papers at all costs! They weren't even speaking to laudrup at the time, they were getting all their news from sky sports.
