    LB: Hall, Targett
    LCB: Botman, Burn, Kelly
    RCB: Thiaw, Schar, Lascelles
    RB: Trippier, Livramento, Krafth

Looks about right really, given that a couple can fill LB. I've underlined the ones I can see not getting used. I suspect Krafth or Trippier will move on this summer if an offer comes in. Also Targett, who hasn't been bad when he's played in my opinion, will be on the sidelines whittling down his contract I guess - 18 months left.

It would also open the option of playing 3 at the back, which I would certainly experiment with if we don't manage to get in the RW we want.

I think people care way too much about clubs selling players

    If they're gone, they're gone.

Who is coming is more important

The player demonstrates in about 10 seconds flat a skill that Sean Longstaff will never possess.

He's also a full Austriam international and they're a good side tbf.

Transfermrkt suggest's he's a LW who can play LB and CAM but could go into the 8 LCM role I guess - if he's got defensive capabilities to play at the back and passing range to play centrally in an attacking position potentially he could do it from LCM too? That or maybe Howe is looking to move Gordon or Barnes out to the right?

Looks very good, skillful, press resistant and fast. Also naturally left footed which would be a big plus as all of our CM's are predominately right-footed.

    Joelinton/Prass*
    Bruno/Tonali
    Willock/Longstaff/Miley

Would be a scarily good set of CM's if that's where he's meant to be coming into.

The way Prass moves backwards on this volley goal thus allowing him the extra space he needed for the ball to drop is quality:emoticon-0103-cool:

He's primarily used as a left sided central midfielder apparently, and sometimes as a left wing back.

Indeed, maybe the trick is to buy an actual RW and play him there. I remember people chucking their muck around the internet when we signed Miggy after watching **** like this at the time when we signed him :-

Not once is he over on the RW in any of those clips yet has been played there pretty much the entire time he's been on the pitch for us, save for swapping sides with Gordon or whoever during games over the years.

Nope I was there when the fans booed that lad when he scored on his debut vs Hull.

Let's just see whether I'm right about this Austrian if he is even signed, but Longstaff isn't doing half of what he shows skills wise in that video and the rest is open to debate.
