I'm told it would have happened sooner if the Ospreys Directors hadn't shown balls and stood up to them.

Can you explain the implications of this , I understand now the Club is responsible for some annual costs but what's the reasoning and why now

I'm told the Club will have control over the Stadium by having control of/owning SSMC and therefore the Lease. So if, for example, they can sell the naming rights for the Stadium, the Club would have all the financial benefit (save for the percentage that they have agreed to pay the Council). The downside is that the Club is fully responsible for the upkeep of the Stadium.

Leasing is a tax tool, after 7 years in top flight, we only now get serious on the commercial front, just as the team is imploding, i't's all come far too late as I see it, who will pay for the proposed expansion? it was originally stated that we would purchase the stadium, Huw Jenkin's words, not mine. Where will we be next season? the club is quite frankly a joke.............<ok>

The club is paying £300,000 a year which equates to roughly £6,000 a week for a 20,000 seater stadium in Landore. Are the taxpayers being robbed?

Taxpayers are always being robbed, another racket won't be missed..........<ok>

Cllr Stewart added: “We are wholly supportive of Swansea City’s plans to expand the stadium, which will help the club generate more income and maintain Premier League status.”

<laugh> what a farce aye, think they have missed the boat, the timing is impeccable, as we cruise to the Championship...........<doh>

    £300,000 per year

    20,000 tickets per match

19 home matches in the PL = 380,000 tickets

that's about 79p per ticket to cover the cost of that.
