Those Americans who think of Britain as a backward food desert are this week eating their words. For we are the first to experience Pizza Hut's latest wheeze, the "hot dog stuffed crust" – a sausage coddled in the crust of a large pizza. (Don't all start hieing ye to your nearest branches just yet: it's delivery only at the moment.) The Sun in typical understated style, calls this creation "the stuff of dreams". Fox News and the LA Times deem us "lucky" to be so honoured. No less an organ than Time magazine hails a "caloric coma", and in an existential cri de coeur, laments that Britain is "one step ahead in the heart-attack-in-a-box department".

Every day that goes past makes me happier to be a life-long veggie <yikes>

Yeah I read that Tobe, before you posted it <ok>

At the risk of debating, its very one sided. By eating less meat we would consume more veg etc, so crops would have to increase to cope, cutting down more rainforest etc

We would have to cull the animals too, and those earning a living off meat would be out of work

and veggies shoite more so that would need to be sorted

Overall mate, eat more meat. live less longer and get constipated = Global Warming sorted <ok>

The stopped doing the seafood one due to risk of allergies or something

Before you drag me into a debate by posting absolute ****e as usual, I'll clarify your feeble points:

Meat costs more in energy to produce than it gives to humans, so it costs more in crops to 'grow' a cow than it does to feed people with the equivalent food. Also, advances in greenhouse farming means that most veg can now be grown in the countries that consume them, so less airmiles.

On the losing jobs front, people lost jobs when the slave trade was abolished, so ****ing what?

Veggies don't **** more, everyone ****s nearly everything that they eat (only a tiny amount proportionally of the food you eat gets absorbed by the body).
