With 24 of the 50 odd teams in Europe playing in France, could you imagine all four home nation teams all playing in the same area in the same knock out table?
England top is nothing to be boastful over. 1-0 against Estonia was a disgrace for the players on the pitch. I stopped watching when I saw our brich sh!t house centre backs PJ and GC quite literally diving to win freekicks over a 5t9 ametuer footballer! Does anyone really give a toss about England national team anymore? When 19 year olds claiming they are worth £100k plus a week claim to be "too tired" to play football for 90 minutes? Pundits, FA and the media can dress it up anyway they want, but people have become wise to our national game and are nowhere near as bothered as much!
I havn't watched the last 3 or 4 England games.....it does nothing for me anymore. In fact, I did'nt even know what day they played Estonia!...I knew what week and that was that. The great British bake off was much better (so I've been told of course )
National disgrace and when a 19 year old player earning more money than makes sense claims he is too tired to play for his country then I know it's time to give up on England. Quite agree Inver... When the likes of John Terry can essentially be sacked from his national side , yet the likes of Wayne Rooney be labelled a "Father Figure" and "Role Model" and worst yet a captain, is beyond comprehension that there is anyone sane left at the FA. Least of all the useless bumbling pleb of a manger, that leads this group of adolescent minded, overhyped, under-performing, lazy, sack of shambles. Why the likes of Lambert doesn't get more game time is mystifying to me. Hard working, humble, and dying for a chance to play every national game, not just the ones he fancies like the Sterlings or Gerrards of this world.
Now now rhinobody don't start getting upset at this probably quite sensible group of young well paid sportsmen who would die for everything else but their country. You won't find me complaining when I know they're trying their best - lol! Total embarrassment and a joke.
Bring back terry, I don't give a **** about what he's don off the pitch, we miss him in defense as we do not have the player to replace him.
