Interesting that number 5, 7 and 9 have no player. Say's to me you'll get a 5 and a 7. Hummels could wear a 5 and Vidal a 7? Or Vidal a 5 and Di Maria a 7? But then you have to question is LVG seriously going to enter a season without getting any defenders (except Shaw, if that's what you wan to call him!). Maybe if the defenders come in they'll be given random numbers. Liverpool have a player Markovic that has always worn 50 on his back, and I believe he's requested to carry on wearing 50 at Liverpool.
Safe to say that whoever wears the 5 and 7 will be average and not United standard! Why would we call Shaw anything other than Shaw? Would he be given some fancy name if he was at Liverpool? Something like a Triquartesta or a Provincial Demarista?
