I rather suspect that we all know the answer to this one! Let's imagine that the Russian has "allowed RDM to leave" CFC; and let's assume that both Jose and Pepe have thrown their hats into the ring for the job... Which one would you choose? Yes, Jose has his history with you, and he won you the EPL title, which is always going to endear him to you and force you to forever hold a special place in your hearts for him; but there was definitely friction between him and the Russian, who let your most successful manager of the modern era leave the club. How can you be certain that history wouldn't repeat itself? Then again, Pepe would be an unknown risk in the EPL, and could turn out to be yet another AVB or Avram Grant. So, which one would it be? I have arranged the poll so that you can see who has voted, and that way we can rule out the opinions of non-Chelsea voters. I don't want this to be a wum-poll.
Jose Mourinho at Real Madrid has shown the world he can play both beautiful and winning football. It would be Jose for me. And also he is a successful proven premier league manager.
I think until Pep wins things at another club there will always be question marks. He inherited a great team and had loads of money to spend and had Messi come through at the right time. Anyone could have managed that Barca team, maybe not to the same success but they couldn't fail to do well. Jose has won multiple trophies in 4 different leagues including the C.L with 2 very unfancied sides in Porto and Inter. So it has to be Jose until Pep does it with a side without Messi in it!!
Jose . The "Russian" has friction with EVERY manager, Pep will be no different except he will cost more to fire.
Jose I'm right behind RDM, think he should be given atleast 2 years to prove himself. I'd even go as far as to say I wouldn't mind not winning anything this season (assuming a top 4 finish) as long as he's building something special. However, if he was to be shown the door, then there is only one man I would like to see and thats Jose Mourinho!
Good call, would like to see RDM get 2 years AND win something. If he does last 2 years he should get a long service medal as well.
Jose easy! 10 Years of success with 4 different teams in 4 different leagues. Porto: 02/03 - Wins the Portuguese league. Wins the Uefa Cup. Wins the Portuguese super cup ( Charity Shield ) 03/04 - Wins the Portuguese league again. Wins the Portuguese super cup again. Wins the champions league. Simply brilliant! An amazing 2 years. Chelsea: 04/05 - Wins the premier League. Then we go beat Man Utd & Liverpool to win the carling cup. Also got to the Champions League semi final. 05/06 - Wins the premier League again. Wins the charity shield against Arsenal. 06/07 - Wins the carling cup against Arsenal, wins the fa cup against Man Utd. second in the premier league. Champions League semi final. Brilliant 3 seasons! Inter Milan: 08/09 - Wins Serie A. Wins the Italian charity shield. 09/10 - Wins Seria A. Wins the Italian Fa Cup. Wins the champions league!! Again, simply amazing! Real Madrid: ( Up against one of the best teams ever...Barcelona ) 10/11 - Wins Copa del rey, beating Barcelona 1-0 in the final. Second in the league. Semi final of the champions league. 11/12 - Wins La Liga!! Beating Barcelona 2-1 at the Nou Camp to pretty much win the title! 12/13 ( Current season ) Only a few games in and they've already beat Barcelona to win the Spanish super cup. Mourinho is the best manager in the world. If he continues in a similar rate, continues to manage and win throughout the years then he may well go down as the best manager ever!
