Was only a matter of time before they released this in app form but I doubt I will be taking my ipad with me to a football game!
I think it's a bit odd to pay for a program for a game I'm not attending. And it looks like it is just the program in digital form so it's not like it helps me follow the game or anything. It would have been very useful for me when Saints were in League One where I really didn't know many of the opposing team players. And in fact, when we were in Championship and League One during the crisis and there was a lot of player shuffling going on, there were Saints that I really didn't know what they looked like or much about them. But now there is so much stuff on the internet, and Saints are in the Premier League so that just makes even more information available and I can watch the games rather than have to listen to them on Saints Player. I may buy one or two just out fan enthusiasm, but its not really that useful to me. What is odd is that it is an iPad application. Most of the time, I can't watch Saints on TV here. And Saintsplayer does not work on my iPad. If I'm going to being watching the Saints, I'm going to be doing it on a PC... and probably using a method Cortese does not approve of.
Download an App called Photon, which enables you to play Flash media. Go to the Saints Player page, click on the little lighting bolt in the top right corner, and log in. Then you're able to listen to live commentaries or watch highlights etc. on your iPad. Works for me!
Because I'm a bit sad I like to buy and keep the programmes, and have every Home programme from the last 5ish seasons sat in a neat row on my shelf, God knows why, I hardly ever look at them again. So although I'm currently writing this post on an iPad, I don't think I'll be changing my ways!
