    - - - - - - - The May Be's, The Just About's, The Possibilities, these are already our players, who will make it this season, who do you think will shine through, who will move up to the top of the Bristol City tree this time?

    Saikou Janneh
The young forward was recalled from Torquay in the final weeks of last season but a knee injury ended any chance of a first-team debut.

Will now get an opportunity to impress Lee Johnson in the US and possibly even earn a first-team squad place, although we understand that there are league teams willing to take him on loan for the coming campaign.

An outstanding loan under Lee Johnson's dad Gary will surely help Janneh's chances.

    Matty Taylor

Taylor worked himself into an impact sub role last campaign, after coming on from the bench 23 times during the league - more times than any other player.

Can the 29-year-old show the form abroad necessary to gain more first-team starts?

    Zak Vyner/Taylor Moore

The 22-year-old Bristol City academy product has likely a battle with fellow defender Taylor Moore on his hands as the two young Robins vie for Lloyd Kelly's place in the squad.

Both Moore and Vyner can play right-back but are more likely to play in the middle in the longer term, though Vyner has the upper hand having become battle hardened playing in the Championship last season.

Moore, also 22, may have more versatility to his game.

    Callum O'Dowda
It may be necessary to even secure a squad place with Antoine Semenyo, Famara Diedhiou and possible new recruits arguably ahead of Taylor in the pecking order currently.
The Irish winger has just a year to go on his current deal and is believed to have set his heart on pastures new, having rejected several offers of a new deal.

Is the grass so greener, Callum? Play well here, sign a new deal and fulfil the potential at Ashton Gate and the former Oxford United man, 24, could help power City to promotion this coming season.

    Joe Morrell

The Wales U21 international has loan offers on the table, as confirmed by the head coach recently. Can the Bristol City academy product win a place in the City midfield next season on the forthcoming trip to Florida?

Must play more then the 36 minutes he got in the league in the last campaign and stay ahead of Liam Walsh to secure more game time this coming year.

We also have queueing up~ Liam Walsh,Niclas Eliasson, Cameron Pring and Antioine Semenyo.

    The Training Programme.
Bristol City's players return for pre-season training on Thursday as the sun rises on campaign 2019/20 - and the build-up to the next Championship campaign.

The Robins have prepared a five week training programme for their players and will build match sharpness into the players ahead of the first game against Leeds United on Sunday 4 August.

We asked assistant head coach Jamie McAllister about pre-season fitness plans and he explained how the club is ready for pre-season.

"The next five weeks before the start of the season are all planned out," McAllister told us last week.

"Whole sessions, what we're doing every day, the games, how it's going to look and gym sessions. Everything - it's all in place," he said.
