NP has to shoulder some blame here, We all knew we needed a striker in the summer, yet he signed Simpson, and has barely played him, and then had to bring in another RB as Simpson has been relegated further down the pecking order. NP was very clear during the transfer window, he said he wouldn't bring in anyone who wasn't better than the forwards we have. So, either he thought they were good enough, or there was nobody deemed better available in late August. My view is, he had rose tints on for ex-Leicester boys, King & Simpson, and that meant the funds available to him after that didn't stretch to what we needed, so he had to stick with what he had. Just my view of course.
I STARTED reading it, then lost the picture of a jigsaw puzzle then after first 3 or 4 paragraph's scrolled down to what followed but deleted it............ sorry but not the picture I've seen or can see ...... I think someone on here may have suggested that he may try to turn the clock back and hoover up some of his ex "mates". everytime anyone puts pen to paper, finger tip to keyboard we are influenced by hindsight we cant help it, no one is immune. The thing with hindsight is that it is the line that things have followed [ Ive mentioned loads of times "If only it had gone in etc etc we could have scored a load more... ! NO ] there are no branch lines!!!! We can surmise that had King and Simpson not swallowed up £xxxxx 's of budget indeed never have come here, the resulting squad may have performed the same.. likely? worse a bit difficult! ..or possibly better ... arguable. Tanner from Carlisle ... PS from there, and has been involved, was this a link? / influence ...... was there dark forces at work === Simpson for Tanner... we will find out this weekend! I still stand by my last weeks comments Martin should be dropped .... WEIMANN, WELLS, O'DOWDA , BELL, SCOTT should be part of the games 2 front lines [ not all at once maybe as 1-2 / .... 2/1 .... 3/1 ]
I think the solution is obvious, we plainly don’t have such good players as others, to equal it up we should be allowed to field more then eleven players . I think a 5-2-3 2 would work well. edit Or as my partner just pointed out, maybe we could start 5 mins before our opponents
