One day while touring with The Chillis Chad went into a Southern bar and heard this old geezer singing in the corner. Imagine his surprise when it turned out to be Carl Smith. Carl used to go out with the mother of Robert and Mark E. When she jilted them in favour of their eventual father Joe he moved to Nashville and wrote songs about his heartbreaking experiences. Carl performed well in his new band despite never playing bass before. The fans welcomed his maturity it was in stark contrast to the rest of the band. Kooky singer Katy Perry at that point on the rebound from her failed marriage to Russell Brand met him after a gig in Sacramento. Steuart Smith was born with dyslexic parents. Taunted all the way through high school for the strange version of his name he had the last laugh. His cousin Silent Bob put a word in for him when he was selling weed to Glen Frey of The Eagles. After Glen had a massive whitey and sacked Don Felder he invited Steuart to join the band.
