No, not from what Morrison did........... More friction between Tam and Hammam. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/33081146 Will this ever be settled? I thought the book was closed on this months ago, but it looks as if the odour lingers. When will we just be able to focus on the football, however dire?
The Tan/Hamman thing was alwyas a marriage made in hell. The flamboyant and rogueish Hamman would never have been tolerated at the club by control freak Tan for any reason other than as a temporary means to get him off the scene. The "life presidency" award was a joke. I firmly believe that Tan refusing to repay the last installments of the agreement was a pre-meditated ploy to bring Hamman's association with the club to an end. He knew it would provoke legal action and Tan is never afraid to go down that road. Whatever happens now, Hamman is gone - Filiou was just his mouthpiece. As far as the football is concerned, there's probably marginally more entertainment to be had in this legal rubbish at the moment.
In reality the club have an obligation under money laundering regulations to know who they are paying money away to, so their stance is correct, particularly in view of the amount involved. That being the case however, my question would be "Why was anything paid out at all, assuming this knowledge was lacking?". Alternatively perhaps the club were told to pay money to an alternative unidentifiable recipient which resulted in this stand off? We must assume it will result in 2 more empty seats in the grandstand next season as Hammam and Filiou won't be there. Cue, tumbleweed running through the Directors' Box.
I'll be over the moon when Sam the Sham is no longer involved with the City, pity is he can't take his fans with him.
And so it goes on: - http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/faw-asked-negotiate-battle-between-9640378
Not good. This desperately needs to be brought to closure. One mad man at the helm is enough for any team and we've got two in there!!!
