it never rains but it pours. just to add to the arsenal's woes, 5100 shrews supporters will be joining their team at the emirates stadium on tuesday evening, we do not mind if you play your first, reserve, or youth team. or even your groundsmen, chaplain or piesellers, the shrews will give you a good game. the shrews have won 5 out of their last 6 league games, have dispatched derby county and swansea city, and the arsenal will make a nice hat trick. not sure whether we are fielding our reserves or a full strength team complete with our internationals, any way we have hopes of being in the 4th round draw. please ensure your pies are hot. floreat salopia, amwythig am byth, come on you shrews breathe on 'em!

sorry i cannot count, but it should be a goodly crowd who no doubt will be overawed by their surroundings. we lost 2 of our key defenders through injury at port vale yesterday, no i am not making pre defeat excuses, our golden boy manager graham turner will sort it, i hope.

The Shrews supporters accept that, as long as Arsenal put out a semi-decent squad, we will probably lose this game. We did beat a Manure XI and a Wolves XI in pre-season; and in this cup Town have beaten Derby and Swansea. But it is a cup, and with cups anything can happen. Confidence is high with recent wins for us and not as high for your team, we have lost a few key players with a red card and injuries but the players who came in have done a good job.
We are all looking forward to a great night - we go more in hope than anticipation. We do not want our players to just go out and enjoy themselves but we do want them not to freeze and to show you Premier league fans that we can play a bit - it will do our lads no good at all if we go out and get stuffed so if it is to be defeat let's go down with all guns blazing.

Ummmmnnn Mr Cowboy, I hope you haven't forgotten that the last time we scored 5 goals, the other team won 4-3..... However Ryo, Park and others are playing tomorrow and I think they may be hungrier and more focussed than some of the clueless fat cats in our first XI.
