Well, well, just 4 days after his re election, the Septic one has resigned. So much for "Lets go FIFA" more of " Get me out of here". Just hours after the US investigators announced he was now in their sights, the Master of Corruption wants out. This revolting piece of slime has corrupted most of the members of the African and Asian Confederations, has caused the downfall of the Carribean and led FIFA to the top of the world rankings in disgusting Sports Organisations. And all the while he "knew nothing", a la Sgt Schultz. Hopefully the US and Swiss investigations will lead to his arrest and stripping of his ill gained assets. Hope he gets a cell with a view for his retirement. Now all that's needed is to clean up all the African, Asian and Middle Eastern dodge pots and FIFA is in with a chance.
Great for football but I don wonder if there is simply too much money in the game now for it to be completely corruption free.
Hallelujah! God bless America! <musical note> old Sepp he has gone, where the bad doggies go...<musical note>
You really think so, these scammers always change the way they scam. It's like politicains who are only allowed receive a certain cap on contributions for campaigns. There's nothing stopping them betting money playing golf against each other? "OK Sepp I bet you 20 million dollars can't do this 18 holes within 117 shots over par Corrupt politicians are not allowed over a certain cap in contributions, so they arrange "fund raisers" for individuals instead of parties, which are entirely legal. If the game is found out they change the game, this is the way it has been for ever!
Very true, but it looks like they will do so without sponsors, all of who were seriously leaned on by the FBI. I can't see a way out now and expect FIFA will have to toe the line just like the Olympic Committee did after Salt Lake City. There's a cute trick a certain Media mogul in Oz used to use to bribe people. He would publish a damning article about Mr. X. Mr.X would then sue for defamation, and it would "settle" out of Court. Job done, all in the open ,all Legal !
Blatter hasn't resigned, and hasn't even said he will resign Said he will "step down" to give himself more time without people screaming for his head, and it has worked.
