http://www.squawka.com/news/england...-vardy-symbolic-of-leicesters-approach/480373 ... the author has obviously done his homework on us ... firmly puts the 'possession' stat to bed ...
Good article there - nice to see that the stats back up what we say about Vardy - watch Hodgson play him on the wing now I'd like to see a similar article on Kante - see how he ranks in terms of tackles, interception etc.
... always a risk of course ... but the difference now for us compared to my 45+ years of watching is that we now have owners whose priority is to establish LCFC in the Premiership rather than merely to keep the ship afloat .. we don't need to sell anyone and I suspect the only outgoings that we will see anytime soon are those surplus to requirement ... Vardy is loving his football at the moment as can be seen from his general demeanor as well as the performances ... he's a big fish in our pond and, I supect, will be contnet in being so for the medium term at least ...
Hopefully Woy realises by now (from the evidence of previous campaigns at least) that the fat fella from the swamp near Dulock will not be progressing us to Euro's glory if relied upom as our sole striking option ...
Indeed. I like Vards, I like where he's come from and how he's adapted, he seems down to earth which is a important detail in modern footballers. The England squad a can be a poison pit for our kind of teams. Before Lallana left he signed a five year deal & said he wanted to retire here, then over night his head was turned. Hopefully players are looking at how things turn out, the money may well be better but the grass is certainly not always greener. Enjoy the season guys.
Why would Roy want him to go to a club that sacked him? If he does leave, then fair enough - we will get our money worth like you did.
Roy does secret recruitment work, don't cha know! Seriously though, he does call ups, then cowardly picks out of form big 6 players, you'll start to see the pattern as the season progresses.
