Started with such high hopes, but the MON era really was a damp squib. Started brightly with the signings of Fletch and AJ, but never took off and MON's sacking seemed increasingly likely as time went on. PdC is like a breath of fresh air and hopefully next season will give him a chance to show what he can do at a club with a great set-up, albeit a "sleeping giant" (comatose?) like us. Still not safe, but Spurs' win today is going to motivate the Arsenal for the Wigan game and I can't see them reaching the same level of intensity after the Cup Final. Fingers crossed that we don't need a result at Spurs. Average for the season was 40,464, which is pretty good for the turgid fare we've had to endure. A few exciting signings in the summer (assuming we survive) will hopefully spice things up a bit. WTF have we done to deserve ANOTHER season like this? Beats me...
