I was sort of interested in what Sir Ed crazy might come up with ...was fitting a new light in the kitchen so had peace and quiet to listen …. WOW … HOW DISSAPOINTING …
AT one point spouting the same dross as Corbyn, in fact went in other room to make sure I was watching the right programme. the first third was presented like Corbyn " so and so got in touch from up there near so and so and ……. " I am sorry Sir Ed had I been an undecided, who wants my vote constituent .. it isn't you. After knocking knocking knocking Boris... the conservatives .. and failure to do this that and the other regarding COVID you are not inspirational .. one little bit.
WE all know Covid is a first time whammy on the modern world /civilisation and how to beat it is a learning curve, world wide. We've had you and the other "sir" knocking how from March they .gov did everything to late or wrongly and how you could have done it better … well the news is what you spouted was hindsight, and the likelihood would have been a disaster work wise, financially and severity wise for this country had you been in the shoes that has guided us through it.
THE SHAME IS after about 2/3rds of the way through your fantastically uninspiring speech I made a cup of tea went down the bottom of the garden and shelled some walnuts!

the fact of the matter is the government are looking to get herd immunity, they were upfront at the beginning until it became very unpopular and since have tried dressing it up as something else, why don’t they just be honest and admit it.

I think they did mention it in the beginning as a solution, but since events throughout the world have proven the virus is a bit to clever. It seems to be evolving in a number of different ways and the human body is not up to maintaining anti bodies for a longish period [ in all cases?]. The current peak seems to following the world pattern … each country now in the second peak did as we did [ we followed ] relaxed the hold because the summer was a time for holidays ...but the same as everyone else [world wide ] we had the idiots who sardined it at every possible moment with blow you jack I am OK ...I AM 18 - 50! the majority of cases now [ major majority ] is this group ..and whilst hospital admissions are lower death's are still part of it.
EVOLUTION OF THE SPECIES comes to mind, the strong or adaptable survive!

    It's not rocket science.
    So what's the answer?

all part of the coincidence .. where did it start [pick up from?] I did a prediction based from bank holiday weekend starting point, that by/after 14th the totals would be in excess of 5000
in the 7 days before bank holiday Monday there was an average of 1130 cases per day
schools returned various dates up to 10th, Uni's up to 19th incubation can be from 4 to 14 days
in the 7 days up to 07/09/2020 SCHOOLS partly back but closer to 7th cases rising average was 1870
up to the 14th with workers having been back and uni students going back all schools at 95% average was 2680
up to the 21st with workers being advised to work from home and all schools and uni's had a full week average 3544
with freshers week having finished and a clear week up to 28th the average had climbed to 5577 …
eliminate the number of students infected and "contained" eliminate the very low number of school children being positive over 2 week period
and that leaves around an average of 5000 cases daily that are part of a group that is reinfecting itself?
the speed at which uni students went up means the sources were from many bases / sources [ total is based on around A TOTAL OF 12 - 14 days ] throughout the uk and abroad!
agree on face value not rocket science … but the many seeds were thrown before schools and UNI'S ...

the sun wont let me past their gateway want me to agree to all their cookies … but far from it being cold, daughter and 2 other members of family 13 in all! were in S devon, it was a bit awry on one night, rest was fine bikini weather apparently! CORNWALL WAS OVERRUN [ police asked people on A303 to find somewhere else FROM Friday dinner time onwards] …. as was DEVON ...WSM Brean/Portishead also east coast of Bridlington /Redcar packed as was Snowdonia yorks dales …. guess South coast of Wales might have been as well?? Lake district?
the research pre bank holiday? well that is the 7 days for which figures were released [ a continuation of similar figures for the previous 2 -3 weeks which were quite stable at around 1000 ]

    Proper testing is the answer.
Copy the Germans - they don’t have lockdown and they don’t even have travel restrictions - and they have land borders, but their levels are low and under control. As a result their economy isn’t on its knees and their people aren’t suffering mental, physical and financial hardship.

Well we certainly cannot ask for advice from Wales (labour) or Scotland (SNP) as they make their own rules and both fairing much worse than England, perhaps Northern Ireland has the answers?
