I know this has been posted before, but it got hijacked by wums and OAOA (see the thread on wums). People just looking to slag off the Swans or the 'little Welsh club' need not post.

How do we all think we're really going to do this season. Please include what you think our final position will be.

As for me, I reckon we can make it through and finish in the 12th/13th position.

as posted on the aforementioned hijacked thread:

I think it will be tough season , and that we may eventually lose out to either Manu or Chelsea !! :)

I thought 15th a while back , still do only with a bit more hope than certainty . It was a very tight in mid table in the Premier last season , the difference between 8th & 14th ( a third of the teams ) was 3 points .

we might not have made lots of signings but i think the team are going to be prepared for this season and will do us proud. every player is going want to be in the starting 11 for the first game. all they gotta do is keep thier focus they all have the ability to succeed.

Bottom six will be us, Norwich, QPR, Blackburn, Wolves and Wigan. We could be anywhere in that mini-league to be honest but I reckon 18th and just missing out :(

HackerJack , as you request ideas for a signature how about " A realist and not an optimist , my head over-rules my heart at all times!" !!

We all (in the back of our minds- no matter how deep we try to bury it) contemplate only being up there for one season...but come on, chin up and all that , let's keep it to ourselves :emoticon-0127-lipss
and potray nothing but confidence in Buck and the boys!

I`m hoping we`ll finish 17th or above, don`t know if we will. The pessimist in me says we`ll get relegated, the optimist says we`ll stay up. Only time will tell, sometimes the glass is half full, sometimes it`s half empty.

If we start off with a bad run, I`ll be fearing the worst, likewise if we end with a bad run. Chin up, we`ll finish 16th.........

I bet you got some tidy odds on that!

I think somewhere between 14th and 19th to be honest. I don't fancy QPR to do well unless they make some decent signings (they've come out and said Taarabt isn't to be sold, but I think he's going to be found out in the Premiership) and I think they might really suffer this season, and then it's us, Norwich, Wigan, Wolves, West Brom, and Blackburn I think, playing it out in the battle for the drop. Obviously any one of those teams is capable of stepping up and breaking away, but you've got to back that team to be the Swans! STID!

Got a good feeling, a lot of teams will get a nasty shock when they play us. Top 8 and the darlings of MOTD.

    Hi Cardiff fan here,

Not sure where you will finish but that is not the point right now you got to the premiership on merit so enjoy every game. I did find that Hull and Blackpool started in a rush but the second half of the season caught them both out. Take heart from Stoke and Wigan who survived their first seasons so it can be done.

It may not seem like it from a few posters on our forum but the majority in Cardiff are pleased for you and will definitely be supporting all your top flight games...I will not be supporting the English clubs that`s for sure.

I'm not particularly impressed with some of the clubs in the Prem outside the usual suspects. For that reason I'm going for mid-table, just inside the bottom half. That would be a fantastic achievement imo.
