Ok, in keeping with the rumour mill that runs at this time of year, I am hearing a whisper that Rossy could be on his way back to us. Excellent when playing at his best and a proven goalscorer when given the right enviroment on the pitch. If this was to happen would you be happy ?, could we get him firing them home again?, or has his time gone! For me it would depend on the price, it would be a good test of the manager, will he get McCormack back to scoring ways? IMO definitely worth a punt at a low enough price, always thought it was a mistake to let him go, like Earnie, needs game time to get those valueable goals.
The problem with Ross has been the fact that his goal scoring has not been as frequent as it was in his first season... He seems to have stagnated but he is still young and if he can get hit the back of the net early on in the season I reckon his game will only get better. I would say that I'd like him back but only on the cheap!
a player that can't get into a leeds first team not for me, and what ive heard he likes a few beers na just got rid of a few players who likes there ale, bench warmer at best shouid be looking for higher quality
Earnie is available of course and would most probably be a better choice, but the wage may be too much. Rossy was clearly upset by being benched by DJ during the latter part of his time with us, Leeds only played him here and there and he is a player that needs the games to get going. Staggering prospect when we first got hold of him and a return to that kind of form would see him a first team starter throughout. Would work well with Bellemy(assuming he is coming back) and could do well for us again, but is it too much of a gamble for a manager looking to do well in his first few games?
No doubt Bluebirds, what works for some, don't for others. It's only a whisper and its come out of Leeds, I doubt we've made an approach and hopefully our eyes are set on someone who is in form rather than someone trying to regain form, they rarely do at this level. But like I said, if the price is low enough he's worth a poke at. He knows us and what its like down here, and it would be last chance salon for him, that might just be enough of a jolt to bring him up to speed. I have heard he has lost weight and his drinking habits are restrained these days.
SweatBlue - that Shakespearian reference was all too deep for me. Alas poor Yorath, I knew him well.................
Well sparkey, it's looking like we could be McCardiff again this year and thats ok with me, this time we made sure the manager can understand them though
I would take Ross back, he seemed to be getting his form back at the back end of the season for Leeds, a new challenge with a new young manager maybe just what the lad needs, a much better goalscorer than Chopra in my humble opinion.
Sorry Sweet but we just cleared the bar tab and don't need another p/head. Don't get me wrong, the lad had an incredible first season with us but the day he crashed his motor wiped out all the good work that came before. His agent is a leech as well.
Most probably right there Bob, but it's silly season so got to throw these ones out there and see the reaction. I just want a team that plays from the heart, at least if they lose you know they have given it all.
If there's money available I would put in a cheeky bid for Nicky Maynard who's got a year left on his contract at Brizzle.
Good call, been on the Brizzle board and they aren't confident of holding on to him. Think a bids in for him already though, not sure if the foxes or our "Done Deal" friends from up north, although he's most probably signed for them back last season already.
Last chance salon...if he's going bald, he could always follow in Rooney's steps and get the implant treatment!
Talking of Scottish players has anyone heard anyhting about Craig Conway being linked with us? He's a free agent from Dundee and plays left and right wing, seen him in the Scottish national team and looks good for a replacement on Burke.
