I've honestly never seen this lad kick a ball in anger...

Startling transformation for the elusive Facundo Ferreyra
John Carver says Facundo Ferreyra should be back shortly after suffering from a bad back, though supporters doubt if they'll ever see him.

So far Newcastle United fans are yet to see Facundo Ferreyra make an appearance for the first team.

After eight months at St. James’ Park the nearest the Argentine striker has come to being sighted, is sitting on the bench watching three Premier League matches.

John Carver recently stated that Ferreyra should be back shortly after suffering from a bad back, though supporters are still sceptical as to whether they will ever see him in the flesh.

Though the player did claim in an interview in recent days that he was actually hoping to extend his stay at Newcastle!

Last night Jonas Gutierrez used his Twitter account to put out a photo of himself and his Argentine colleagues Fabricio Coloccini and Chucky Ferreyra out at a restaurant.

Comparing the image below to that at the top of this article, life on Tyneside appears to not only have transformed his football fortunes (for the worst), but he also looks like a completely different person!

He looks like a young Xisco there!

In all honesty I cant wait to see him play. FM15 his my main striker playing on his own for 2 and a bit seasons and he scored 105 goals in 117 games, absolute preditor. + 17 assists so involved in 122 goals in 117 games, Ronaldo would be proud!

I heard of him a few years ago prior to his tranfer to Ukraine and the boy has talent, i dont understand how we have ruined him so much. Him as CF with Cabella and Ayoze would be quality.

I had the same results on FM, sold him to Arsenal for £30 odd million 4 seasons in and replaced him with Carlos Fierro (check him out if you havent already)

Unfortunately I had Freddy Adu a few years back as well when FM thought he was gonna be the next best thing...look at him now!

    Can he play centre back?

He was great on FM. I had him on loan then sold him for big money. I had bought Luka Jovic pretty early on (spent all money on him and Balenta - Colombian centre back after scouting reports). Once Jovic came to life at 19, I didn't need Ferreya. He went to Juve and never reached those heights again.
