no - not just from me ! You might think I'm referring to last night's game - but you'd be wrong ! Although it has to be said I've been more excited by watching a washing machine go round. To be fair, The Gills achieved what Taylor set out to d0 - not to lose. We lined up with no recognised strikers. Initially I was appalled - but I can see the merits in playing on the counter attack with pace - List, Clare and Byrne provided a bit of speed - and it's a pity that Byrne didn't pass to an unmarked List, instead of trying to score from an acute angle in our one decent move of the game. Gills got a lucky point. Scunthorpe passed the ball quickly, and closed us down even quicker. They enjoyed a lot of possession - and I am glad that they didn't create an awful lot. Gills won't be so fortunate with more ruthless sides - but - I have little idea where we'll create our goals - other than hoping to hit on the breakaway. But we'll need to pass the ball forward for that ! a couple of our corners went straight back to Holy. This is going to be Taylor's style until...... and it had better achieve another 43 points by the time we go to Bristol Rovers, otherwise there will be fewer than 3,844 Gills fans bothering to turn up. Even fewer will be there next season to watch us in L2. You might also think I am talking about the referee and linesman. Why do we seem to get poor officials. Again I had no issue with most of the fouls given against The Gills - even if some were extremely generous - but - how is it that the officials can only see it 'one way?' If Parker wasn't fouled ( penalty ), he should have been booked for diving. The linesman on the GRS side was about a week behind the play ! Between the officials, they again 'missed' a lot -- but that will never change - and I'm not actually moaning about them ................... so - who is the subject of my displeasure ? - well - it's the real villain --- no - not the manager / head coach/ latest incompetent etc - no - it's none other than our Chairman. Mr.Scally has come out with another load of properguana ( I can't spell propaganda ). He wants an 'off the wall' manager - he had that in MA - who won us a championship - then got sacked a few weeks into the next season. He talks about discussions with serious investors - but then realises what he's said and has to pour a huge amount of cold water on that claim. We've heard your drivel as many times as I've written in this forum. Just for once I'd like Scally's crap to be right and for mine to be wrong -------------- I've got more chance of Gills winning the Euro Lottery and a manager that can polish 11 turds. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/41399813 Message to Mr.Scally - -' Put up, or shut up.' At this moment in time YOU are destroying GFC. Your selfish greed, coupled with your incompetent ' managerial' appointments, is the reason why the Club is dying. Either get investment in place ( if the potential actually exists ), or GO ! - sell the bloody club, build a load of houses and flats - make yourself a few million - let us die with some dignity. I'd rather not watch any football than to endure what you are doing to GFC. You are like a pimp who is in control of a prostitute - just to line his pocket. You are turning GFC into footballing sluts.
Must admit, ive always given Scally my backing but he is losing it very, very fast. I cannot believe some of the media stuff i'm seeing spouted. I questioned before his five year dream, so what is it now, moving into an extended five year dream with a great huge white elephant. Please Mr Chairman, with the greatest of respect please sit down and shut up it's sounding like a broken record.
As for Maddog, absolutely agree alwaysright, another Scally cock up in my opinion. The biggest off the wall manager you can get and here we are now since his departure, heading like a snail on a salt trail into League Two. Whether it's League 1 or 2 or even National League, i don't care but Mr Chairman if you want to be open and honest, then admit your failings!
