To the players , staff and fellow fans: Ever since the late , great Markus Liebherr stepped into our football club on 8th July 2009 and rescued Saints from certain liquidation , my own personal connection with Saints has been stronger than ever before. The pain of the match against Burnley which relegated Saints just a few months earlier , with pleas from Lawrie Mcmenemy and Leon Crouch bringing emotion in the stands , had disappeared in one fantastic and relieved day under the July sun at St Marys. Ever since then , our club has grown into a stable and inspiring one - and with the co-operation of everyone associated with Southampton Football Club , we can reach the stature that we crave for and ultimately deserve through passion and spirit on and off the pitch. Occasions like the JPT final and the F.A cup tie against Manchester United will hopefully become more of a regular occurance with the new found belief we all hold. So , a plea : With greats such as Markus Liebherr , Alan Ball , Ted Bates and the recently deceased Dean Richards (R.I.P to all) supporting us in heaven - we are TOGETHER AS ONE TILL THE END. So no arguments , get behind the team/club no matter what position we are in , and soon enough we'll be back experiencing the glory days again. COYS for the rest of the season and for future years and we will experience the SAINTsational side of Football.
