    hi Nashy,

    Take a look at this link.
    It shows all the pubs close to the ground. There's a selection in nearby Canton and Grangetown.
    The nearest (practically in the shadow of the stadium) is The SandMartin. It's a nice place, especially if you want some food before KO.
    There is an 'Away Fans' car park at the ground (just follow the 3 red coaches on the map) Not sure about costs but it is secure.

    Enjoy your visit, just not the score :D

    <ok>

    Same as anywhere I guess, you'll find it if your looking for it :)
    As you can imagine, a lot of the pubs in the Canton area are 'CCFC' pubs but I've often seen away fans wearing their colours there with no hassle.

    Try the Ninain Park pub a stone throw away from the ground on Leckwith road, was there when we played Donny as i live a few minutes walk and there were a few Donny fans in there having a good time and no hint of trouble .
    Quite a few pubs on the Cowbridge Road Goscombes,Canton cross,Insole are just a few to name a few were you can enjoy a few pints without any bother before the game.

    If you go into almost any pub in Cowbridge Rd, Canton 5 minutes away from the ground, you will be OK if you behave in a reasonable manner (not suggesting you wouldn't <ok>) You should be OK, there is a Wetherspoons that is busy but away fan friendly, or you could go into the City centre which is as safe as any city centre on a Saturday night <ok>

    The Cornwall in Grangetown is a regular for away fans. same comments as above, if you are sensible then good beer, food and a chance to have a chat with the locals.

    Dependant who you are travelling with, ie if you have children with you, then GOL near Fitzalan high school is good, 5 min walk from stadium, £4 to park which is refunded for drinks at the bar, away fan friendly and a nice atmosphere. As we play you mid-week i would advise that you try to get to the parking area early. You can also park opposite the football stadium in the Athletics stadium £5 but no drinks refunds ! if you need directions to GOL just google it and directions are on the site. Good Luck but not next wednestday.

    Same as yours really, average about 22k may get more if you bring your full allocation, may see close on 25k by my reckoning.

    Averaging about 22,500 for the first three Champ games - that means about 3,000 spare seats for the "ordinary" folk if you discount the Premier Club prawn sandwich section which takes our capacity to around 27,000.

    Away allocation takeups have been poor so far. For instance, Bristol City just 40 miles up the road only brought about 600 leaving loads of wasted seating.

    If you bring a decent following, I would expect to see over 24K in there - if we beat Leicester this weekend, that figure could be 25K......<laugh> <ok>
