Morning guys! Just thought I'd get your early thoughts on the game on Saturday week. We are on a great run of 5 clean sheets and four wins but this will be our biggest test to date. You don't seem to be firing on all cylinders yet so for once I think we have a real chance of coming away with something. Should be a good game with hopefully a few goals. Thoughts?
Personally thought we were lucky to take all 6 points from you lot last season, still would expect us to win this though will need to play a lot better than we have been!
I think we can win the midfield but just takes one bit of magic from Rooney or Van Persie and we could be in trouble. Boruc is in great form though.
With due respect to the Saints, we should win this one. Maybe not easily because United rarely do things the easy way... But if United do not get 3 points from this game (by hook or by crook), Moyes will be under serious pressure...yet again..
With every respect to Southampton, who are clearly a very good side, we're about to enter a period of 'should' win games, before then coming across Arsenal. I agree, if we don't get nine points from Saints, Stoke and Fulham he may well have the crowd on his back. If we do though then we're right back in it, no one is looking like they will make a break for the league at all and it's way too early to rule us out of at least competing for it.
Agree with that. No-one is breaking away and all the top sides have slipped up. Hope it continues for at least another 2 weeks.
In a word, no. Under Adkins, we'd have dropped points against Chelsea, Liverpool and City at home, and we would have been sphincter looseningly close to the drop zone.
Which is why you'll cruise this. Just don't give any set pieces away near the box #theystruggletoscorefromopenplay
There's no need for the insult Matth. Let me re-phrase. You've scored a very low number of your few goals from open play this season.
