Rumours in the papers that the Liverpool Chelsea match will be moved to help Chelsea with their champions league match. What do we all think?
don't understand why they should be allowed to if it does get changed, we all know this happens with the fixtures if you happen to be in it at this time. if its such an issue how come they don't raise this before season starts if it could be a problem. why is it a rumour any way, seems a bit odd, is this a twitter thing or something?
If true, we should object. the real reason will be the Premier League hoping to have a blockbuster of a game that potentially settles the title; aka vs Arsenal in 89
Well if it does happen it will only be moved forward a day from Sunday to Saturday which actually would help us as Chelsea would have less time to prepare. The problem is the FA will open a can of worms for next season as all the 4 champions league clubs will start asking for allsorts of games to be moved.
I thought this was already done? Sunday to Saturday evening, look I can only think of one reason for any issue and that's people flying in to game! I don't see it affecting us and I think we should be in favour why not? If it were us v Fulham next year or whatever we'd want it moved, bit of patriotism surely?
Rumour has it the player moves was talking about last night that wanted to join united was konchesky. He has a point to prove to Liverpool that he can play football and isn't Hodgson love child
perfect fit but isn't he back in the big time with leicester... didn't leicester build their side round him and he's done a schumacher in building something from nothing... thus is assured of winning 5 titles now
Has the draw been out? If Chelsea get Atleti, does that mean Courtois cannot play? That would be huge.
Saw a report today that atletico would have to pay Chelsea just under 5 million for him to play against them in the champions league and they can't afford that
Its £2.5m per game. Its wrong IMO, he should either be allowed or not, none of this extra finance bullshit. However, Chelsea and A.Madrid may negotiate instead since the Chavs reportedly want Diego Costa
In the long run that is a bad choice, Courtois is going to be hands down the best GK in the world and he is already in the top 5 conversation at what, 22 or some **** like that?
They'd be mad to is what I was saying. Best believe they are trying to get COurtois out of that Costa deal ( if that is real).
I meant negotiate the £5m it would cost A.Madrid to play Courtois into a deal for Costa. Chelsea won't be selling Courtois imo
I know they have that conundrum of Cech still being pretty reliable and Courtois being young but that kid is unreal, has the lot in terms of GK. Also got him really cheap I think as well?
I'd be very shocked if they didn't bring him back and ake him first choice next year. Cech has hardly been brilliant this year and Courtois would only have 1 season left on his contract I think. If he doesn't get first team football this year then there'd be a long line of clubs queuing up for him (Madrid & Barca spring to mind). In regards to moving games, I think it's a good idea. Other Countries do it to give them a better chance at progressing in the comp but we all know that the TV companies are in charge of fixtures here and they wouldn't want big games moved if it meant they couldn't show them on tv.
